Hello,

Im new to eBay, i have not have any VERO strikes and i don't plan on getting any but, I was just wondering how many strikes will it take to get your account banned?

There's no set answer.

It depends highly on the age and strength of the account.

Anything from 1 to dozens.

Totally depends on the brand, the account age, feedback etc

James is right - account can be banned even if 1 strike comes in...depends on luck of the draw

I think I had 11 on my main account eBay forced me to go stealth.

Okay so similar to ETSY, i've never heard of more that 9 stikes on ETSY mind.

Thanks for the answers guys. Whilst im here i didnt know if I should ask on this same thread but what's the best bulk listing programme? I have quite a few items to put up and it will take weeks doing it one by one lol.

How old was your account? Did you get the 9 Vero hits at the same time? What was the brand?

Bulk listings can bring unwanted attention to your account. It’s not recommended you do bulk listings on new accounts.

Bulk listing means you are blindly listing a bunch of brands without doing any due diligence.

Also you are using copyrighted content and pics that you cannot modify prior to listing.

Lastly it's mathematical, the more listings you have, the more prone to Vero you are.

So bulk listing = trouble

I know there will be many ebay sellers here with 1000's of listings, do you all just individually list? I have around 2k individual items that need listing and I just wanted to see if there is a good way to speed up the process. I think i will not shortcut and list my items normally.

On a side note..
Ive noticed ebay is very low profit margin, high revenue so to make money you will need a large stream of sales. Most successful pages have tens of thousands of items. Comparing to the other marketplaces ebay is brutal and run by either well known retail giants or massive dropshipping companies. Are all these listing listed individually? If so that is lots time individually listing.

Bulk uploading in terms of listings? Like Auctiva?
Those are super safe and convenient.

Yes, exactly. I was just seeing what people used and what is the best programme to use. It was a harmless question unrelated to my vero question.

I do not plan on bulk uploading rip off items just to make that clear lol

No specific number. The more volume of sales, and longer you have been active along with the space of the issues arising all play a large factor.

In my experience around 5 or 6 gets you toast and believe me I have had 6 accts toasted. The more seasoned accts can go to 6 but new accts about 3. The reason I sell vero is the $50-100 profit per item as opposed to $4-5 profit on non vero.
