[GUIDE] Setting Up VMs To Keep Accounts Seperate

Ouako's Guide For VMs

There is many ways to make sure that you do not accidentally cross-contaminate your stealth accounts, however in my opinion VMs are the way to go. You can have multiple VMs running, and work on multiple accounts at the same time. With user accounts, or portable browsers, you can only use one account at a time, because you need to change your IP each time. By using a VM, you can have your IPBurger VPN automatically connect on startup, and not need to worry about linking to your other accounts!

Requirements :

VMWare Workstation (Paid Program. You can get free with a little googling)
60GB of Empty HDD Space
Windows ISO File
A Decent PC(Quad-Core, 8GB RAM)

Set-up :

Step 1: Open up VMWare Workstation, and click the "Create a New Virtual Machine" button.

Step 2: Click "Typical (recommended)", and the "Next".

Step 3: Select "Installer disc image file (iso):" and browse for the Windows ISO file you downloaded

Step 4: Enter a product key if you have one, or leave it blank for no product key. Under "Version of Windows to install" select the one that matches the version you downloaded. Put a Full Name, Password(not needed), and confirm.

Step 5: Name your machine. I usually name mine based on the account. You can change the location if you want to save them in a specific folder as I do. Press next.

Step 6: For Maximum Disk Size, I recommend using 60GB. Depending on the windows version you are using, you can use a smaller amount, but 60GB will install any OS, and allow you to install firefox portable and such. I also recommend storing the file as a single file.

Step 7: Once you have done these steps, it should give you an overview box. Check the information based on what you put in, and select "Finish".

Step 8: If you were able to use the "Easy Install", it will go ahead and install the OS for you. If not, go through the steps. They are very single and intuitive.

Once you OS has installed, you are good to go! Download your FireFox Portable, and install your VPN Software (I recommend Viscosity and IPBurger).

IPBurger's Guide : IPBurger's Guide HERE

At this point, you can start and stop your VM as needed. You can have more than one open at a single time, and as long as your IP is connected (Green circle at bottom), you are good to go! Every time you open your VM, I recommend checking https://IPBurger.com/ to make sure you are connected! Follow your normal stealth steps, but now you have no need for User Accounts!

If you have any questions, leave them below and I will try to help! I will update this guide with any relevant information in the future, and based off of the questions asked!

Re: [GUIDE] Setting Up VMs To Keep Accounts Seperate

Personally, I use a slightly different method. I run a server in my basement, that is always on, and accessible from anywhere in the world.

At the moment, Dell R410's, and Dell R710 servers are selling at a very good price. I run a Dell R710 server, with Dual CPUs, 64GB RAM, and 12TB Storage. By doing this, I am able to run upwards of 20 VMs at a single time without issues.

If anyone has a server and would like a guide for that, I can write one up. It involves many more steps, but is not hard with basic computer knowledge :)

VMware is a waste of memory, there are better ways to manage multiple accounts..

Thanks for this post! Super clear and well put together.

One question: I use VM for eBay stealth and it gives me a fresh IP address. Do I need a VPN on top of that? So far I know eBay hasn't linked my accounts (doesn't mean it will never happen)

Also I always wonder: could eBay or Amazon read your computer's MAC address through the VM and link your accounts?
If not, what if they develop the tracking technology in a few years... That'd waste years of work :/

When I create a new VM, it does not give a new external IP. I would make sure you are looking at the correct IP. Check your IP on IPBurger on your user account, and then on the VM. As long as your VPN is not running, the VM should have the same IP.

eBay does not read your MAC address. If so, a lot of us would be in deep trouble.

In my opinion, I prefer having each account in a VM. I know you can have multiple Firefox portables on a single user account, but you still need to change IPs before opening the next account. When running your VMs on a server like I do, I have no issues at all with memory. You can easily run a VM with 1GB or less of RAM without having an issue.

I checked and I am getting a new IP. But I think I'm using a VPS (accessed through Remote Desktop app) rather than VM. Thought these two were the same but not that knowledgeable.

That's the thing. If one day that changes, lots of us would get linked.

Would you say Amazon is better at reading MAC address than eBay/PP?

A VPS is a private server hosted by a company. This would mean that it would have the IP address assigned by the hosting company.

Truthfully, I don't think they will start looking at MAC addresses.

As of today, we prefer to say AMAZON do not look at a MAC address.

Yup! The reason for the VMs is it makes sure to keep everything from the accounts separate. As long as you have your IP connected, you are good!

Firefox Portable can be moved between computers to keep the cookies. So you can backup the Portable so you do not lose your cookies
