The number of wars/disputes between nations, as it turns out, is decreasing. The current wars are civil disputes mainly over nationality and beliefs. It's far more prosperous as we're discovering to trade rather than destroy, conquer and exploit. The number of democracies is also increasing, and democracies go to war far less than other governments.

Tuition is well worth it. But just because you went to school, it doesn't mean you're good at what you do. That's up to the individual.

Democracies go to war far less? I call bullsh!t. We've been at war since we've been a nation. War props up our economy more than anything else, which is why it's critical for the US Gov't to keep inventing enemies through false flags and propaganda. The United States have been at peace (not at war) for a grand total of 21 years since the nation was founded. Our leaders are undeniably war-mongers.

All of that is besides the point though. Upward was pointing out how corrupted the Democratic party in USA has become over the past few decades. You seem to have changed the subject entirely by going into the perceived superiority of Democracy vs. other types of government, which hasn't anything to do with the Democratic party.

The me vs. you mentality is definitely alive and kicking, although in opposite me + you favors both economically. On a global timeline this is gaining favor.

It's an overload of irrelevant information, TBH. We were talking about two different things. I jumped into this thread to talk about corruption and ulterior motives within the USA gov't, not the superiority of democratic governments on the world stage.

Corruption = personal gain, though? Personal gain can = War. Oil mainly I think.

Whenever I hear about corruption it's like what do you except? People are inherently selfish.. since we're survivalist to the core. Guess it doesn't bother me since the people complaining are just as likely to do it themselves, ha.

I'm just throwing out an interesting new perspective since GDP is going up for lots of countries because of globalization... there is less war happening now because of it. Could argue the corrupt motives behind a war being started are becoming more complex. I don't think we'd dare start anything with China over the tensions in the South China Sea, we're too intertwined from trade relations. ATTACKING THEM *cough* walkingupwards *cough* would be worse than working with them.

We're certainly better off than most countries. India and China have terrible corruption. You try paying off a cop here that's a big no-no.

I hated the 1% movement. Bunch of dumb a$$es whining about how life's not fair and it's impossible to be wealthy in this country because "they" control all the wealth.

Nothing came of gun control in US after the 2nd to last big school shooting movement because Trump was strong-armed by republicans who threatened to reduce/cease funding to key parts of the republican party. Corrupt in of itself.

During all the hype I told my father nothing's going to happen, you watch. Guns are too ingrained in American society to ever be fully controlled or banned. They make too much $$$.

Want to reduce gun violence? The majority of gun-related crime comes from weapons imported over the Mexican border. There's a great start.
