Why don't you register the stealth for vat on line get a number then de vat yourself ? Works in the motor trade mate

In germany we can not apply for a VAT number online afaik

The UK is way more integrated into the online scene than Germany. Have you ever looked at eBay.co.uk? The traffic over there is vicious in comparison to eBay.de

However, I like to be optimistic. I think in the future more people in Germany will buy online and traffic will eventually get stronger. I mean it must get better as the number of young people living in Germany exceeds the one of the Uk.

With VAT ID you mean "Umsatzsteueridentifikationsnummer"?

And with hearing all these, is it even possible to use a stealth account legally in Germany? And how to handle the fact properly, that you get money on a PayPal account which you don't even own? (At least officially - other name in PP)

And if you have multiple accounts, you still have to pay taxes, even if they are all under 17,5k/year? (USt.?)
And if you get over 700k in Sales/Year, you need to do "Doppelte Buchführung". How to explain the stealth story to your Steuerberater?

well.. no it is not legal, it is identity fraud. But paypal and ebay are not banks, so don't overdo it and also stay legal with your selling and you will not get into trouble

Yes ofc you have to pay taxes.. there are ways around it obviously, but as soon as you want to receive and use that money in your real live you have to cash it out somehow.
And the Finanzamt will ask some questions if you get money regularly from other people and live from Hartz4 (Social help money)

Simple.. assuming you have a registered business.. otherwise look the paragraph above
