Default 200 free listings - LOL

So 4 of my accounts get an email from EBAY that I can list 200 free. Wow, great you say. But I can only use one of those. The other three if I listed a bunch of stuff and sold them, Paypal would limit them, ask for docs and then hold my money for 180 days.

This is not fun anymore.

PayPal aside, if you tried taking advantage of all 200 items at once on eBay, you're bound to run into issues if its a relatively new eBay.

It's best not to let the promotions sway you.

Funny how long do you have to seed an account, just got a 5 month account limited and only took in $9-1000 in 5 months, $75, then $200, then $300 then $350, then limited. 100% feedback, 100% tracking.

New accounts don't mesh well with the items you're selling evidently. It's the same story over and over with you.

i sell to my small new account limits every month until it hits around 10k a month or until tax limited but my items are most likely not as problematic.

5 items the first few days, get an increase and sell to the 30 or 60 etc... then on the reset, list to the limits, get another increase, sell to the 100 or so, etc... it sounds like you increase the value of the items or change categories. i normally start with whatever my highest value item is, that way it is considered normal later on when I sell them in bigger quantity. If you sell $10-20 and then all of a sudden sell a $100 item, it triggers a review for abnormality.

WHAT I DON"T understand is why paypal is so concerned with what you sell and Ebay isn't? In the old days it was the other way around, lots of Ebay suspension and rarely a paypal suspension. Wonder what changed? The only thing I can see that changed was Ebay announcing they were rolling out a new platform in the near future. That probably upset paypal.

Paypal takes all the financial risk. They are on the hook for the full amount. Ebay is only worried about buyer satisfaction at the moment and of course the small sliver of selling fees.

Paypal takes a tiny fee and huge risk.

That makes sense. OP is selling items for a couple hundred dollars on a new account. That there is reason enough for them to have an invested interest in the account.
