What do you folks think?

Will Adyen be good for selling digital items as eBay allows selling these and without PayPal it'll be a very profitable thing?

I don't think the relationship with Adyen will be the same as the one ebay had with paypal. The way theyre integrated into their system is different so you wont have them deal with items - that will be all up to ebay.
And don't be surprised if ebay becomes stricter.

eBay has never liked digital goods regardless.

But adyen is more of a CC processor than PP.
So we'll see how it goes.

Adyen is just a type of Merchant Processor (bank) handling the transactions for credit cards. This doesn't change much of anything in regards to what constitutes risky items. I'm sure your "Digital Items" will fall into that category.

PayPal is actually pretty lenient when it comes to dealing with risk. I would assume that Adyen will be about as "tolerant" of your activities than most any typical Credit Card Merchant Processor would be, which is less than PayPal.
