So far today I have found information on how to create a credit report with "synthetic" information (that's what they are calling it). Apparently, you just have to use the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information to sign up for a few random credit cards. Those applications will be denied due to a lack of credit history but the very act of signing up for an account creates a file with the credit bureaus. The article then goes on to tell you how to use that record to create credit card fraud which is not what I am interested in doing. The other thing I am looking into is public record. I went to one of those public record sites and it was checking social media accounts. I actually have a facebook under this ID. I'm guessing its not enough though.

I see that Ayden is on etsy has anybody with an account with them had any experience.

Etsy now has a social security requirement and people are getting around it by opening accounts with Mexican addresses. LOL, I looked into that too. I don't have a burned legit Etsy account, but I want one and would want to have backups.

The request for an ID may have something to do with my sales. I had almost 1k in deposits since I opened it 6 days ago. On a normal account, they may not request an ID. We won't know until we can actually start trying stealth I guess.

Is that just for new accounts? I've had a really small etsy account that doesn't do many sales for a few years now and have never been requested to upload SSN or ID. I just have my bank linked.

I don't know, I don't have an account but I was going to open a few to spread myself out and read about it in the etsy discussion group. when I tried to open one with an EIN myself Etsy wouldn't take it.

We have been able to sell up to $19,900 without any request for a tax number on a few accounts. Most recent was earlier this year.

I keep reading they require it, but that has not been my experience so far.

Hope sombody here figures this ebay-adyen stealth soon. Because adyen will be mandatory soon for all us stealth sellers. Time is ticking away.

Nobody will know for sure until final rollout begins. I can't see them making everyone provide ID and tax info.

For ID can u submit a passport with adyen?

Pp once requested extra docs from a friend who lived in country but was not a citizen yet. They got drivers ID, years before, and told them he was not a citizen and if his home country passport was okay since it was his real info. As getting citizenship is a long process in some countries. It passed. I wonder if adyen is okay for this also?

We have a few years at minimum. I am sure it will be a lot different in 2023 than it is today. Look at how much harder Paypal is compared to two years ago.

I think all of this is to protect comapnies in 2 ways.


1. The higher upper gov wants ssn for them to know who does over $20k in sales per year. So that its citizens pay taxes.

2. Companies want your name, dob, to match the info in case you end up costing them a lot to go after you.

3. Ein might not be enough of the company is out of business. Your ssn will be you they go after not some company no longer registered or in business.

The only people who know what is really going on is higher management staff at these companies. And they wont tell us this to manipulate their system for possible fraud. Etc. These platforms are a business to make money and not lose money.

And just like any platform online, they all have "security" teams, features. Etc.

This is what I am seeing from this thread. With all the info scattered all around. It makes sense now. If you owned one of these or ran the business. You wouldn't want this also would you?

Even coinbase requires ssn, due to taxes. No one required this until the USA gov stepped in and seen how much money there is too be made in taxes. Once they got a lock on btc or altcoins, they'll have the crooks (banks) in on it also. Once they crash it, and pick it up pennies on the dollar. And guess who will sell it back to you at a profit? (Banks). And who will tax you? (Gov).

Maybe this is too far down the rabbit hole for most too comprehand. But that's just my 2 cents on it. Place yourself in there shoes for fraud, security, lost profits, & so on etc.

Adyen will accept any photo ID including a passport. I have learned the past few days that banks and similar sites that request a photo ID don't have access to government or DMV websites and can only verify your info through public records so create some public records. I've read there is a was they can tell if a picture is photoshopped. I'm still learning about that one though.

If private renters can run a credit check on name, dob, ssn, then I am sure banks have some access. I know the gov demands any large transaction be reported by banks to them.

Adyen does deal with money. And must report to the us gov. If not then they are told to leave, if they dont comply.

Everyone is waiting on you on the site to find a solution.

I believe if 30 people off the site did try on newer accounts we'd have better results to share to get past this step when it comes up. We all know this problem is coming. So better act now.

What if you are a business owner who owns a business in America and are from the UK? How would this work? Loss of business for them? :doh:

I'd try but I think first under real info it should be fine. As someone said in posts before. You only got ebay ban but not Adyen yet. But it be nice to go with stealths also. I do it so competition doesn't know all my accounts. Sure you can add 8 ebay to 1 pp account. But god knows if one goes down they all go down. It could be the system does it and then you'll get those wonderful useless reps on the phone with ZERO help but a dumb script we all know by heart by now.

I believe Adyen will be completely rolled out in 2 years.
Next year they are going to start implementing but i think not everyone will be mandatory yet.

I need to look at my notes, but I think 2020 march they start implementing.
2021 2nd quarter it's final.

Yup, I really think customers would rather use pp then entering a credit card on the computer with a virus. Because most customers already think you have access to pulling funds out of there account without even knowing the card number. Just wait till this happens and the calls come in. We all know this is not possible but imagine some buyers left feedback like this already. And Ebay was giving me a hard time to remove it. Unreal idiots! But yeah got it done anyways.

I hope this is another plan that backfires on ebay and keeps paypal. :thumb:

I would say we all agree, pp is not as bad as adyen. Right? :thumb::boink::ranger:

Yes, landlords can do all of that stuff but none of them have access to government or DMV databases. They have to go off of information available to the public, so you have to create fictitious information available to the public.

I still want to know if you can use mutiple ebay with 1 adyen, and how is it tied to ebay. There's a lot to look at, how they interact between each other, is it token based like inkfrog? I have like 20 accounts on 1 inkfrog. Same with shipstation, it beats the hell out of printing shipping labels like the olden days. A few clicks and im done for the day.
