I'm not saying you're wrong but that hasn't been my experience. When I call in using spoofcard or itellas the automated PP prompt greets me with the phone # I'm spoofing. It's a really good option for when you no longer have access to the original phone number on an account. The only time it becomes an issue is if the rep requests to "call you back after their investigation" which did happen to me once while trying to restore a friends account.
I've done it at least ten times though, mostly when requesting limit increases on eBay, and only had a problem once. I don't think spoofing is what caused the issue that one time since reps asking to call back is standard procedure when their investigation is going to take more than a couple minutes.
Depending on the system the financial institution is using, some can tell. That was what I was getting at with spoofed numbers. But if it works for you...
Maybe, but I doubt it with this app. It always gives me "we recognize the number that you are calling from" line so I doubt they know. If they do then they've never let on over the past 5 years.
Get Spoofcard...they have an app or it can use their website. You put in the number you want to show on your end and of course the number you are calling and it spoofs your number. You can even change your voice to male or female...add background noises, etc. It's like 10 cents per minute. I've been using it for about 5 years and it works flawlessly.
That is very interesting. it would be helpful since most of my accounts are under male names and I'm a woman with a high pitched voice.

tossibledigits has been solid for me for many years. And you can turn off and get new numbers without additional cost. It has answering service and text to get pin.
