Hello when you call eBay there is with you as well this automated message " we see are you calling from ..and then they say your phone number..?
The strange things is that happen even when I hide my real number..and I try from different phones
I was really wondering how can they find out?

Can't block your number when you're calling financial institutions or companies. Their phone systems see around it.

Unfortunately withholding your number doesn't work with eBay or PayPal.

You need to use a number not associated with any account when calling in, or the actual number on file.

Calls to US toll-free numbers (800, 888, 877, 866, 855, etc) can't be blocked for the simple fact the called party is paying for the call.

There are services out there than can spoof (change) the ANI/CID of the call, but it can't be suppressed (blocked) as the carrier will not pass it through their network.

New update : for those ones that call eBay by their mobile,
pay attention at the number they say when answer,
I have tried to call again today by changing my other phone with another
a different SIM and when the automatic voice answered they
said an old phone number of mine that it is not active anymore ,
maybe they could track social network watsapp etcc.
wherever that number was connected

Most likely not. but anytime you call a 1800 number it'll show them the number you are calling from.

i had to call eBay today and i used the Talkatone App. It's one of those free apps online that gives you a free phone number and you can make calls through the app. the picked up the app's phone number. My only complaint about these apps is some of them have a problem receiving the verification text. Talkatone is one of them, but they are not all like that.

Get Spoofcard...they have an app or it can use their website. You put in the number you want to show on your end and of course the number you are calling and it spoofs your number. You can even change your voice to male or female...add background noises, etc. It's like 10 cents per minute. I've been using it for about 5 years and it works flawlessly.

If i'm not mistaken, sometimes they can tell if the number is being spoofed. :shocked:
