Federal agent customer
 

Hello
Last week, there are a order on one of stealth eBay account, the customer send me a message told me he is a federal agent. My item is the copy item. the return address on the shipping label is UPS mailbox on my real info.
The package just delivery today.
"Is this legit? I can tell you right now I’m a federal agent and that wouldn’t be a good move. I have your PayPal info."
"I now do believe you think you’ve gotten away with this. I guarantee you are wrong my friend."
I don't know how to do right now.

Serves you right, why are you selling counterfeit items for ?

This forum doesn't condone people that want to get back on ebay or amazon to sell counterfeit items.

It's because of people like you genuine sellers have a hard time.

Probably a fraud trying to pull a scam on you. No federal agent on duty would write that way, it is way too unprofessional.

The same thing happend to me in the past, but with a scummy lawyer. He formulated his address like this:

Lawyer James Smith
bla bla street 30
...


I ended up marking his order as shipped, but really shipped nothing and waited until he opened a case ---> issued a refund and placed him on my blacklist.

I had no idea about his intention, but I didn't want any potential trouble at the time.

Don't worry, this one's a phony, even if he is a federal agent he can do nothing especially when your account is stealth.

You would be surprised how many ambulance chasers are active on internet,buying and selling.
I sold some gold tone jewelry once to a lawyer,she said in the old days,gold jewelry can be 10k solid gold,so she wants to prosecute me as she is a lawyer !
There are sellers who actually received threats and letters from buyer who are lawyers

This sounds like a load of horse crap.

Real Federal LE agents wouldn't identify themselves over eBay chat. It goes against protocol and just don't make any sense.

If you were the subject of a bona fide Federal investigation of some time, you likely wouldn't be aware of it until the US Marshals or FBI came to pay you a visit.
