Fixed price = Forced Good till cancelled

In order to help you sell , Fixed price listings are now good till cancelled only.

F eBay. So tired of their "Oh we're here to help you" moniker.

But yea, so it begins....


I might even just start doing BIN for 1 day and put the auction price at the fixed price and the buy it now price at 30%

I don't understand why this matters unless you're trying to skirt Vero issues.

All I do is fixed price listings because no one pays when winning an auction so I've only done BIN for the last 10+ years.

I "skirt" issues by listing my Vero stuff to the letter of the eBay law. I got warned once in 2006 because of Bose and did my research. Never had an issues since.

I agree, eBay will soon realize that forcing the GTC listings is NOT what sellers want. It's just another driver away to other platforms for many.

Not like they care, their stock has been pretty much stagnant (in the $30-$40 range) the past few years anyway.

I have noticed a drop in sales since GTC. Have you guys tried ending your listings and relisting them to see if they show up more or higher in the search results. Huge pain in the ass when your running alot of listings that end on different days.

Etsy has no auction,all fixed price,and it is going to place all listings on auto renewal.
If you dont like it,you can cancel the listing manually before expiration date.

In and out before eBay knows what hit them.

Listings with short lifespan are driven to the top of the search. Same reason your listing seem to climb when it is about to end.
