Not a trap.

People don't seem to sell more than $50 - $200 worth of sales a month in the beginning. Perhaps even on older accounts.

But others could give you better numbers, if they chose.

Trap? No. But it's never recommended to go all out in the beginning. Some people get huge accounts right off the bat, and some people get 10/$500 accounts.

Well methinks if you have a seasoned paypal that you used to buy a bunch of stuff in the past and open a brand new ebay you will get high limits.

Ebay gimmicks!
It is how much you sell ,not how much you list !

Has nothing to do with Paypal and everything to do with the information of the account holder.

did Ebay say which categories?
I bet if you list 1000 hot electronics, like AAPL ipods, iphones, ipads etc,it will draw attention from both Paypal and Ebay.
Very few Ebay sellers have 1000 different items in stock worth listing unless he is a wholesaler, direct importer or a retailer.
Bu then I know some collectors have 1000 Panda, rhino, samurai, can openers ,teapots, assorted trinklets in their basement!

1,000? If you list 10 items they will ask for info. If you can provide this info then you can list 1,000 items. If you can't then you can't right?
