eBay Temporary Restriction - MC011

Good morning friends,

On the evening of 03/26/2019, an eBay account of mine was temporary restricted and I was asked to provide proof of delivery per eBay's email.

Before the restriction was applied by eBay there was a buyer who opened an item not received case in the afternoon for an order they placed around the first week of March.

I called CS and I asked them what's going on and they said I should resolve all resolution center cases. I only had one case open and I was able to get the case closed by CS because I had valid tracking that showed proof of delivery.

CS then informed me that I should reply to the restriction message in my eBay inbox and inform eBay the resolution of the item not received case. When I replied to the message I was informed they'd get back to me within 24-48 hours.

My question is, does it take 24-48 hours or longer? I don't want to call CS again but I'm bit of an impatient person when it comes to these situations.

MC011 generally means the account is dead. It was this exact ban code that got my fully legit eBay account shut down near a year ago. Been doing stealth ever since and never got this code again. Fingers crossed. What are you selling that eBay removed the items?

In previous scenarios I'd be under the impression that the account is dead but this scenario feels different to me. They're only asking for proof of delivery. In previous messages I got the full platter (ID, invoices, utility bill, etc.) but not this time.

I read about a similar situation on the eBay community and that seller had it resolved within 48 hours.

Hopefully all goes well.

They will ask for more information after the tracking code. I had exactly the same issue since 18th Feb and still working on it.

Basically they want to know if you are doing drop shipping.

So get ready for making some invoices and your company license. They will ask for you after this first message.

Every time you uploaded something, they will ask for more, so it has been a month, they are still investigating... crazy. In my brain I have already given up this account but in my heart I still have some hope.

So you received only proof of delivery requirement in the MC011 message? Did you have a resolution center item not received case open before receiving the MC 011 message?

No, only the proof of delivery requirement in the first MC011 message. No cases, no low ratings on seller dashboard, all good.

They want proof of your ID to verify the account and the invoice to verify the goods you are selling.

you are on Ebay watch list,they have ways to find out more about us than they care to disclose.
are you dropshipping,Ebay is doing housecleaning on dropshippers.

No I don't dropship, I've never dropshipped.

It will be 48 hours at 1PM (EST) today and I still haven't gotten a response from them. I'm not sure to wait or call.

They usually take 72 business hours to reply this kind of message, I uploaded information this Wednesday morning and still no reply yet.

next they will ask for docs...

IF and WHEN you send those docs in they will still perm limit you from selling...

They ended up suspending this account and two more indefinitely. I can’t complain though, the three accounts served their purpose.

I don’t believe it was linkage either. It was just a matter of time. It was products plus competitors but I can’t prove the latter.

With MC011, they most always ask for ID, but what they really use it for is to further blacklist you. Most of the time eBay has NO INTENTION of restoring this account.

From experience of having 30+ accounts restricted regular.
If they ask for documents, don't even bother.

Its best to remain restricted rather than no longer registered user.

Restricted = can win cases, appeal cases ect
No longer registered = Cannot win cases, no appeal until you resolve account issues.

EBAY bot goes around and look up cases which need to be resolved,so just be patient,or call CS and ask them to act.

Just a note, when I have had these things cleared up(been a couple years) I did everything over the phone. That way you get the answer immediately. They almost always ask for a specific tracking number. Give it to them. They are looking for account location verses where it shipped from. Then they will ask where the items come from, etc.. You get an answer almost immediately.

OP said the case is closed when she provided the tracking number.
the email she gets is from the bot and a real person closed the case,so there could be a time lapse,bot goes around and sent out emails,without realising a real person has acted and closed the case.
Ebay reps are better than Paypal rep,they know what to do in most cases and they can act.
