| karimlecavalier | 03-28-2019 08:04 AM | get rich through ebay I am asking this question as i am 13 years in ebay now, i have a lot of improvement from year to year now, but still not rich, I sell used brands, now got suspended because of Vero Skam, I am learning now the stealth techniques. Anyway is still possible to be rich through ebay? I would like to hear some experiences from successful ebay master |
| oompaloompa | 03-28-2019 08:11 AM | Re: get rich through ebay what is rich?
the question is if it is possible - of course
is it easy to do, no, from what I see a lot/most people make a regular income, but there are advantages, like no rat race issues etc |
| nickopedia | 03-28-2019 08:13 AM | Re: get rich through ebay Define "Rich" ?
There are sellers here doing more than £1M in sales yearly, but are hardly "rich".
Depends largely on what you are selling, and many other factors. |
| yankee | 03-28-2019 08:21 AM | Re: get rich through ebay Once you get past struggling to cover all the bills every month, It is easy to ramp up sales, buy better, expand and take small measurable risks.
The hard part is getting past having capital. |
| phaz0rz | 03-28-2019 08:26 AM | Re: get rich through ebay ^^Agreed. Once you have money things become easier because then you have buying power. Buying power is key in any business I think. You can really start to rule a niche when you're able to buy $20,000 worth of merchandise in one order instead of $200 (replace dollar with pound - I don't have that key :) ) |
| Sunspot144 | 03-28-2019 08:28 AM | Re: get rich through ebay Start getting more orders than you can fill yourself in one day, you're well on your way. |
| yankee | 03-28-2019 08:39 AM | Re: get rich through ebay How about running account Phaz? That is the hard part. That is where the money is at. Also having people who are always offering more items to sell, more capital etc... |
| Sunspot144 | 03-28-2019 08:39 AM | Re: get rich through ebay Yeeeep. Keep expanding and OP will reach what I can only assume their definition of rich is. |

| yankee | 03-28-2019 08:51 AM | Re: get rich through ebay I like to follow the loose definition of wealthy. Wealthy: Being able to live comfortably and pay all your bills without having a job before retirement or go to work daily. Pretty much only investors and business owners will ever be wealthy by that definition. There is other options such as lowering your costs of living etc.. |

| Sunspot144 | 03-28-2019 09:03 AM | Re: get rich through ebay Think rich is living in excess, or ability to. Like Bill Gates buying a Lamborghini is like buying a stick of gum for your average man. |

That would be nearly impossible. Cheap money gets cheap people. |
| oompaloompa | 03-28-2019 09:09 AM | Re: get rich through ebay see lots of definitions, I am wealthy by yankee standard but not by sunspots. |

| yankee | 03-28-2019 09:24 AM | Re: get rich through ebay One thing to consider Phaz is what happens if you become ill or are in a bad car accident or become incarcerated etc...
Without those types of employees, you are dead in the water and have to start from scratch. |
| karimlecavalier | 03-28-2019 09:24 AM | Re: get rich through ebay For me I am rich and wealthy when I am independent and totally free, I can manage my time as I want, I can go everywhere whenever I want. I do my ebay business as a part time and full employment in the office. I need both , Only one it would be very hard for me. Nowadays the job market need a revolution like for 100 years when people have to work 17 hours per day. Now people have to work 40 hours per week and I am fed up to be dependent and go to the 4 walls, when you ask people how long do you need to have your job done, they will answer 2-3 hours maximum. And when the revolution will come in the job world, my life will be finished, that is why I anticipate with ebay as I see it as hope to go out from the empty circle and modern slavery. Who knows what would be happen in the future :) |

| agent006140 | 03-28-2019 10:45 AM | Re: get rich through ebay No one gets rich working for others, that goes for ebay sellers working for Ebay.
Who is getting rich,it is the Ebay management, venture capitalist and those who have been granted stock options early.
Look at LYFT going public tomorrow, priced at what $80/share,think of the venture capitalist who wants to cash in so they can reinvest in other ventures, the one who has worked for peanuts but granted stock options .
Not the drivers who use their cars to chauffeur us here and there all day long and make barely minimum wage.
We can try,but few are going to become rich, thats the way it is,else Malibu condo will be priced in 100 millions, due to supply and demand.
As to many of us who have no backup, when you work on your P/L ,pay yourself a salary, this would give you some idea if your business will survive if you fall ill and pay someone to do your work, paying him what you pay yourself.
Do it and come back and tell us if you are still profitable | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 09:37 AM. | |
