Linking new PayPal to old ebay.

Hi there I was wondering if I can use a new stealth paypal on my old ebay account that is fine. Would this cause my stealth PayPal to get banned or should it be fine?

Hi welcome to the forum.

You cannot just replace the old (banned?) paypal account with a brand new one...

Your accounts will be linked and sooner or later banned.

You have to start fresh from scratch with a brand new pair: eBay+PayPal.

It might last forever, it may last 5 minutes. Some people do it with success and others get banned right away. There's no secret to it, it's just pure luck.

You should be fine as long as you know what you are doing.
Just stay away from risky transactions.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it takes a while before you get suspended.

The best thing to do is start from scratch, so you're not dreading that moment when or if you'll get suspended.

Starting from scratch is never a guarantee anyway, ebay is totally unpredictable and can get MC011 at any time and any point.
Ive seen it happened to so many accounts almost all of them new created ones.
Starting new is not always the way foward, starting on a aged account like op is doing is far better than starting new.

OP, just remember to build up cookies.
Watch items, bid on things you will never win.
Ask questions, save sellers, write reviews , search for random things.
If you do this for about a week or so, you will be solid.
This is so ebay dont think your ebay account is compromised or anything if your adding it to a new device.

If you do need to make a new account, still do as the above.
If you planning to make an account for fast sales, then kill it, its fine.

Example, today ive created 3 ebay accounts.

2 of them ive made for long term and im doing what ive said above
The other i created just to sell 500 items fast and cheap, so im not bothered what happens to that account now.
my digital items all sold.

So the point being, if your able to get an old account just clean it up first.
Has it got any old banned paypal account linked?
my ebay > account > check to see whats linked... also, whats linked for reimbursement?

Make sure its VCC or some other non linkable card/bank.

If your going to be taking payments into a new PP account, make sure its verified and just a heads up, ebay will more than likely hold funds for 21 days or until you provide tracking (7 days )

Also the paypal will NEVER EVER be in danger of getting suspended/banned/linked. The ebay account will be the one that gets hit.

Re: Linking new PayPal to old ebay.

There are two ways of using new PayPal on an existing eBay.

A) You can "link" the PayPal for payments to the eBay account (not recommended)
B) You can put the new PayPal payment address in your item listings.

As some of the above posters said, your mileage may vary. For me, I had the new PayPal last anywhere from 1 day (suspended on the first payment), or last for a year or more. I have one account right now that's been using a new PayPal for just over 17 months without a problem, but that account is taking in less than $400 per month. The items are also low risk.

You can be sure that PayPal is not stupid and can easily link your new PayPal account to the old suspended one once you start taking in payments from the same eBay account. Each account has a unique account number that's permanent and cannot be changed, and this info is passed along in each and every transaction/sale.

I prefer to operate with stealth principle keeping account separated. Don't want to waste time on a new PayPal with bank account and stuff risking to get suspended because of the old eBay.

Best not to have linkage with old accounts. I do start fresh when it (rarely) happens.

Suicide. 100% linkage guaranteed.

Rule of thumb is short term it can work. Certain things you can do can increase how long it will work, but luck also plays a very large factor

Long term it doesnt work

Re: Linking new PayPal to old ebay.

I made an ebay and paypal stealth account.

I used the ebay account to sell a few items but I tried doing it to quick in the first week so it got blocked and they would not unrestricted . the paypal was set up on the same details and is fine and not restricted or blocked.

I have another ebay and linked paypal account which I also used to sell and its aged account with no limit etc.

however due to a negative balalace for more than 120 days 3.3k paypal wont let me access this account.

my question is can I use the stealth paypal which was not blocked with the old ebay account?
