Ebay Adyen

Until how long will Ebay sellers have the ability to use Paypal instead of Adyen? And are those changes for international sellers as well?

No, but LLC accounts are possible and you can make as many LLC's as you desire.

The only info I've seen from eBay regarding the matter is that they "hope to have everybody transitioned by 2023".

Going by what eBay says I would guess Paypal will still be a seller option for non-US/non-EU Paypals until at least 2023. When they are done, eBay managed payments will be the only option for all sellers in all countries. Paypal will only be an option for buyers to use, and if it's used the payment would go into your managed payments account.

Something we have in America.

Limited Liability Corporation. It's a type of business and tax bracket you can put your business under in USA.

It's not edible

Hopefully it’ll never work. It looks like a disaster even at this moment.

The few times I've checked out from sellers using it, it was super smooth and I loved it TBH. :noidea:

Yeah, Adyen is coming sooner rather than later. It's a big promise they made to their shareholders. No going back now.

how does it work with dispute?
now if buyer loses a dispute on Ebay, they go to Paypal,if they lose with Paypal, they go to their credit card issuer.
so with Ayden,has it changed?

It has to. Paypal disputes will no longer be an option unless the buyer has paid with their Paypal account through the Adyen interface, I would assume.

So I guess for buyers it will be eBay dispute or chargeback, rather than eBay dispute -> Paypal dispute -> chargeback. Less battles for scammer sellers to fight.

Works perfect on Etsy.

Etsy/Ayden account-
Unlike Paypal which swears it would not access our bank account and withdraw fund ,Etsy can.
Years ago,I bought several pieces of jewelry from a scammer on Etsy, none of them is as described,so I file case with my credit card issuer .
I won and got my money back, then I heard from the seller ,he was livid as Etsy took the money from his bank account .

What rock you been living under? Don't think for one second that PP won't snatch money out of your bank account if they deem it necessary!

I transfer money out of that linked bank account into another one, just in case the shiit hits the fan one day. :thumb:

well,at one time,Paypal said they wont ,now they said they will.?
well,more power to them!
But moving your fund to another bank account, your pAYPAL account turns negative, you still have to deal with a negative balance.

Re: Ebay Adyen

I have the account my PayPal pays into with no overdraft and I transfer to another straight away when the money goes in so if they try to do a snatch back for what ever reason they will not get it and the worse case I can get is a bank fee for refused payment.

Re: Ebay Adyen

I dont mean your bank,I mean Paypal,if Paypal is trying t claw back what it deposits in your bank account, there must be a reason why,and it would be a buyer filed a dispute or chargeback,or a payment you received is no good.
When your Paypal account turns negative,it will ask you to transfer fund to make it neutral or your future payments coming into your account would be used to bring it to neutral or it will sell what you owed to a collection agency.and you would not be able to use that account anymore.

So, you'd rather be out of thousands of dollars than to have to deal with a negative PP balance?

Not this cowboy!

It doesn't happen often, but I'm not a gambling man.

so you want someone to eat your loss,it is your sales .

Re: Ebay Adyen

WTF guys? There's no need to transfer money immediately from one bank account to another. Y'all are just going to get your bank account that you're using for PP withdrawals closed by the bank. Banks hate seeing money frequently coming in and going right back out. It's how I lost my BoA accounts years ago. I thought I was being slick by withdrawing all but about $500 from those accounts within 24 hours but I was actually just shooting myself in the foot - they closed all 4 of my accounts with them within 6 months.

What you guys are doing looks sketchy to begin with plus you never maintain a balance so the bank never gets to make loans backed by your balance. Is your business really so shady that you're worried about Paypal having to drain your bank account to send a refund you didn't send on your own? Come on guys.. just be responsible. They aren't going to steal all of your money.

Right people that run business right aren’t worried like that I have money just sitting in my Paypal because I’m not worried of chargebacks etc I’m confident in my products and I run a business like it should probably why I have had this ebay going for the last 8 years if your not ripping people off then there’s no reason to be so paranoid
