Ebay account suspended indefinitely after 1st listing

Hi all,

Before getting the Stealth Book, I wanted to share my, very brief, story of my account getting suspended in hopes I get some information on the reasons why before proceeding to create another using stealth.

So, I have a really old and very well kept personal account on ebay since 2005 which I use regularly for buying and maybe sometimes selling stuff I find around the house or I don't need. I have 100% feedback and close to 500 score overall.

I recently wanted to try dropshipping on ebay and decided to open a new account (since I was a bit wary from the get go I didn't want to use my old account), so I went ahead and opened a new business paypal account, and a US ebay business account on my Wife's name (no same details where used from my previous account apart from the home address). I set up the tools I needed to set up, verified my paypal account and 2 days later I made my first listing.

Moments later, literally 10 minutes later, my account got suspended and when I called (Since there was no info whatsoever on the message they sent me) they asked a couple of things regarding the account and what I would be selling ( I replied that I will be selling this and that and that I would do product sourcing) and they told me the account is indefinitely suspended and they cant do anything about it.


What Im looking for is what exactly went wrong, or what I did wrong In order to not repeat that. Was it due to suspected dropshipping? Perhaps due to the fact that I was logging in to my other account days earlier from the same IP? Or maybe due to the home address being the same as on my old account?

Side note: Should I start worrying about my old account? Its been a day and nothing happened to that account yet.

Any insight would be very helpful since im not yet sure I want to go into this again. If I have some insight on what could have been the culprit then I might proceed with caution..

Had a new account suspended after putting a book on auction. Followed the Stealth Book advice, etc, had many accounts before. Its a reoccurring theme that I'm seeing on the forum that seems to be happening. Can anyone shed light on it?

Had my last 4-5 accounts banned after the first listing as well.

Don't interpret the suspension e-mail literally. Many times they use the same message template for different suspensions.

eBay might very well want you to call in so that they double check your information and then reinstate your account.


I once registered a 2nd account (real info) and after I listed the first item I got a message telling me I am not allowed to sell on eBay ever again. I called in, they double checked my info (name...etc) and immediately reinstated my account.

Yes loads of accounts getting banned now, on another thread someone wrote about mixing things up; using different browsers for each account, and business accounts seem to be suffering more than personal

where did you get the description and pictures?

Nope. No ebay/paypal account in the past whatsoever.

First listing was a product from ali express. Changed description, added a template of my own, changed ALL the wording, even added logos to the photos and deleted anything that prompted to china/another seller.

I did use shopmaster by the way. No idea if it makes a difference..

Did you tell them you will get the product from Aliexpress?
that you dont have the item in stock?

dontknow if it is what you plan to sell or source from or your account.best is to sell something you already have in possession and stay away from sourcing from Aliexpress .
did you search and find out if your item is already on Ebay?

Case dismissed . You named it and you know it has to do with dropshipping.


For the future I suggest you don't make the same mistake, steer away from dropshipping because it has no future on the eBay platform.

Hello i also have a same problem. I have registered for 2 accounts and they were suspended in 30 minutes. I tried to sell freddy we up jeans which are authentic! ... but anyway i used new name, address, phone number, paypal and mobile data. I have used this before and never had sny problem. Can somebody please tell me what is wrong ? 😥😥😥

When this happens I call in and ask them what happened. They will say it’s for your security. They might ask you to answer questions on the identity or just reinstate. Worked for 4 out of my 5 accounts.

would ebay link 2 accounts if they both using same business royal mail accounts for printing labels?

could be a linking factor, but very unlikely to be considered by ebay.
and yes, you are safe to use that.

retail arbitrage is not allowed on Ebay-taking money from your Ebay buyer ,then go to another retailer ,buy the product and ask them to ship.
Now your wife has lost her credibility,no thanks to you

do you have those jeans on hand?
or are you doing retail arbitrage?
