Default ebay placed a limit on selling untill i link paypal...

i recently verified a paypal account and opened an ebay account...i wanted to start off slow by selling stuff from the house....i listed one item, and the next day i want to list the same brand.. i get an error message stating that i can not list items until i link my paypal account....is it a smart idea to link the account or should i list a different brand now???...

I had the same thing happen to me on my last account and I had to link them before I was able to list anything at all.

To link your PayPal and eBay accounts:

1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.
2. Click the Account tab.
3. Click the “PayPal Account” link on the left side of the page.
4. Click the Link My PayPal Account button.
5. You'll be asked to log into PayPal to finish linking your accounts.

Paypal has to be used for certain categories, clothing, high risk, cell phones etc...now your ebay may be 'tagged' when you next list. Be careful of what you do.

That's what happen to me. One of my accounts is now suspended.
eBay required I link my Paypal to my eBay before I listed an item.
I was worried but I thought I was fine after 4 days so I listed 2 more items and the next day I was suspended pending further identity verification.

never call armani 'used'. call it pre-owned... make the listing professional.
Where did paypal come into to what I said? I said that when you next list, the account might be tagged.... you offer that stuff & paypal will be around the corner. I gather the account has no FB yet? And this is the lying around the house stuff etc etc

I would be listing 1 item even after linking paypal. At the momnet ebay/paypal are hostile in the way they are dealing with new sellers.

i did call it pre-owned like you mention not used.i have no feedback and its stuff around the house...i just dont want to start selling items that i normaly do...i dont want them thinking look its that guy again selling the same crap we limited him for.... so i guess at this point i dont have a choice but just take it easy??? like 1 item a day or 1 item every ended listing???

No.

Websites & Hosting. Regular auctions starting at around $50

That was the first account (of many I have and have had) where eBay required I link my Paypal before I could list an item, and the first one I can't figure out why they suspended it.

I have lost others by making stupid mistakes but I always knew what ultimately caused the suspension.

I'm not saying I think you will be suspended as well, It's just what happened to me.

How many items have you listed so far and how many per day?

I don't think anything will change if you don't link them so you might as well do it.
I don't think there is anything else you can do if you want to sell, aside from creating a new account.
You should create a second account anyway just to have a backup.
If you do link them, just keep selling slowly and you should be fine.
