Just kinda curious, I have 4 accounts, none selling the same item. Here are my average number of listings per acct.
Acct 1 40 (Very Specialized acct so low listings)
Acct 2 150 Could list 1000 if I had the time
Acct 3 105 Limited to the number of items I have
Acct 4 80 Limited to the number of items I have
I just retired and can add maybe a couple of 100 items to acct 2. Acct 1 is pretty much maxed out. Acct 3 and 4 I Could search for more items.

The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!

Why did you post this? You posted a stream of consciousness conversation you had with yourself, without asking any questions.
Congrats on retirement. I bet it feels good to get out of that daily grind.

it is not how many you have listed,it is how many you have sold.

In the early days of EBAY,we all have to pay 5 cents per listing,no one minds as the profit is obscene.
We get 1 free picture, additional ones cost xx cents each,a package deal of 6 pictures is like $1.75.
FINAL value fee is like 5%.
now we can get thousands of free listings ,free pictures and FVF 10%,but where is the profit?

Now that I am retired I can probably go from 140ish listings to 300, one customer buys $100 (10 items) on the 15th of every month and profit on that is $90 after shipping and before paypal and ebay fees.

I wish to have as many accounts as you, it's great.
But I think you should focus on the quality of your product for sale rather than quantity.

I probably have half as many listings as you, across a couple more accounts.
Works for me.

Well the focus of my question was basically I just retired from a 150K job, although I have a new house paid off, 2 new 2019 cars I paid cash for my retirement income is only 50K a year and I a little worried about cash. So I am considering working 5 days a week to increase each of my 4 ebays to $19,000 sales each and opening a couple of more.

You will find out how it works,we will have to go thru a learning curve

kajun, at this point I think you already know the game.
If you have a plan already just execute it. When, not if, WHEN things go south, you'll have to fix it and we are here to help as much as we can.
Other than that, ask a question that could help you.

Someone called Ebay and asked and Ebay rep said be patient, your turn will come !!!!
so having multiple accounts selling the same or different items do make sense.
if you are retired,I assume you can do this full time,so go ahead and create more accounts, the more the merrier.
Pity the wall street analysts, when Ebay announced earnings and said we have one million new members join us last quarter!
