Default Number of listings to feedback ratio

I've created a new account, left in for over 30 days and bought 8 items to get some feedback.

I'm now starting to sell on this account. I sell legit clothing in the $30 - $80 range.

I was thinking of a formula to use to limit myself to how much I list at any one time. I was thinking for every 3 positive feedback I have I can list 2 items at any time. i.e. I currently have a feedback of 8 so I can list 5 items. When these items have sold and I receive feedback then I can increase the quantity I list.

Does this sound ok? Any views on whether I should be listing less or more?

Thanks

I've got a month-old account and listed 3 things a few days ago, no problem. I'm itching to get back on with more items, but I'm waiting, because I don't want to get over-anxious and curse things, so I, too, am waiting.

I am going to set up a totally disposable account to get some stuff on in ebay motors. Some times they are easier because they do not require you to accept paypal. Plus the fees are quite high...all the better to leave them holding the bag.
By the time that stuff sells the other account will be clear with hopefully a few more good feedbacks.

It really depends on what you're selling. If your items are considered High risk, list slowly. If not then you can list more. It really depends..

You seem to have a good formula though, keep up the good work.

The items I'm listing aren't high risk at all. All legit low value clothing. I have boxes and boxes of clothing here I want to sell and I'm itching to get it all listed. It's really testing my patience to wait 7 days until my listings have finished before I can list a few more...

I have access to a good amount of designer jeans, snowboard clothes, etc, but I am scared to death to list anything with a designer label on it. I get this stuff from a very large store known nationwide that would give a receipt with the names printed right on it, but I'm still scared to even try it.
