Ebay Store

OK here is the question for all you guys.

What are the benefits of opening an ebay store as opposed to my 1000/50,000 regular account.

Do I save money on Fees?
Do I get better visibility?
I do think you can put your store on vacation rather than deactivating all listing when I go on 10 day vacation.
Any and all feedback appreciated.
I have 4 accounts but only considering store for one of them. My acct that sells the most, but doesn't make the most money.

The vacation setting is only available to those with the store subscription. For 20$ a month basic store it pays for itself because it saves you in fees.

LOWER FEE,AUTORELISTING,cant think of anything else.
if you have a store,you buyer will be more enticed to see what else you have in store after he places one in his cart

As for vacation settings, if your handling time is 3 days and you dont ship for 10, you will still get the defect even though you have the vacation setting on.

Well that was pretty much the only reason I would have signed up as I retired and plan on traveling 12-15 weeks out of the year, thanks for that. I guess I will just have to cancel all of my listings when I leave.

You can also prevent your items from being bought in the first place. I've used it a lot this year, with all the travelling I've been doing.

You can simply use the "hide your listings " feature with a store. Every item is removed from search which prevents any sales during your vacation. This feature is only available with a store and you'll be able to read all of the details on Ebay's help section as they have an entire article written about it. A must for all who travel.

you can have items to be seeon but cannot be bought,go to store subscription features

If you're only wanting a store to be able to disable your listings whenever you want, why not just zero out all of your listings before you go on trips and save the $20/mo?

2 accounts of mine have store subscriptions and I've never really seen the point. They let you make a store which helps if you're trying to promote your own brand, but that's the only thing that's been even remotely beneficial to me. In my category I think the FVF's are the same with or without a store.. but maybe I'm wrong.

I've never seen any difference on my invoices, and I'm almost always selling the same items on accounts with stores vs. accounts without stores.

Most of your items are bundled, throw that shiit in accessories>Mixed Lots and save 30% on your fees!

I used to list coffee makers in industrial that basically had zero selling fees at the time. I would get limited at 5 sales on new accounts and get warnings on established accounts. Then, during those years, I could make a new account in 12 minutes and about $2.00 so I did not care much. Now, it is altogether different!

I was figuring different (less popular) categories would rank differently in search, especially in such a saturated category where listings in the defacto accessories category are getting thousands of views a day. But I don't think I've ever tried that category, so I don't know.
