How are you guys making Ebay accounts for bidding/purchasing?

You can check out as a guest on buy it now items, but it seems that there's a dollar amount limit where it won't work (have tried purchases over $100, it rejects my cards no matter what I use).

My question is, what is the best way to go about creating an Ebay account strictly used for placing bids on items, making offers, and having items shipped? (assuming you've been permanently banned from Ebay before)

I can acquire a PO Box fairly easily, but curious as to the logistics of it all. Does anyone do this? Being able to buy stuff on Ebay would be huge for me.


Also, does the 200/$20,000 paypal limit extend also to outgoing payments, or just incoming/received payments?

200/$20k is for 1099k,you need to bone up on your tax knowhow,are you US citizen,resident?

if you only buy items in ebay you do not need to worry at all about anything. you an use the same name and the same adress and they do not care.

the reason why you can not pay is because they do not accept your card.

the 200/20000 does not go for outgoing transactions

Seems the post below you thinks it's only for outgoing transactions, not incoming (which would make sense because why would they tax you for transactions not for fiscal gain?)

I always thought once you're banned on ebay, it's never a good thing to add the same name and address because those accounts get shut down eventually...or is that only if you decide to start selling instead of just using the account for buying?


But the problem eventually arises if you're also banned from paypal (like me lol). I can have a stealth paypal account, but would adding an additional real ship address (PO BOX) allow me to sort of circumvent the rules?

I tried creating just a buying account in the UK from the same browser/ IP I initially got suspended on. It didn't work.

Account got linked ...

I did it again. This time following stealth principals ... and it didn't link. The name/add is the same though. Just diff IP, cookies etc.

Great to hear. Is that account still good, and how did you handle paypal? (or have you never gotten banned by Paypal before?)
