Default Strange case opened up

I shipped an item with the correct zip code and address. I made sure of it when I was at the post office the receipt even has the correct zip code. However my buyer opened up a case stating they never received it yet it was received(signed for by P Shippers wrong zip code but the address looks right), but I looked at the tracking number online and the zip code is wrong. What do I do here?

Explain to the buyer, while working with your shipping company to retrieve the item and forward it to the intended address. That's if the recipient has not unpacked the item.

Option 2. Get your shipping company to be liable somehow seeing that they sent it off to the wrong address.

Whatever happens, you're still responsible to your buyer. Engage the buyer throughout. If you think he's running out of patience before you can resolve it, it will be best to refund him/her.

It doesn't make any sense to me though on the receipt from USPS it has the correct zip code but on the tracking its different but the address is the same. I think something else is going on here

Try using this tool to know which of the zip code your shipper recognises as your customer's address.

It could the postman's error though.

Out of curiosity (and only if you can afforded it) send a tracked letter to the buyer asking him to return the item to the sender, if they received it.

Then track the letter. The buyer or the other recipient should get the letter.

we used to have one zipcode which blankets a wide area, then new houses are built so they come up with new zipcodes covering sections of the same area

Call eBay

It is a scam. I bet it was either New Castle, DE or Doral, FL. Zip codes 19726 and 33198 are special zip codes for freight forwarders but they don't have post offices so it will show delivered at 19720 or 33126.

If they open an eBay not received case you can call, the US or Filipino agent will type the address into google and immediately close the case in your favor.

However, if they open the case in Paypal, the completely useless Indian support will deny the case.

For example if your real address is 111 Main St. Chicago, IL 60615 and you put 111 Main St. Chicago, IL 60619. It will go to 60619, then they will direct it to 60615 and it will show delivered 60615. Paypal will steal your money and give it to this scammer because it was delivered to the "wrong" zip code. Any moron can type the address into google and see it is the wrong zip code but Paypal hires red blooded robots to do customer support. eBay will help in a case like this.

The whole system is broken.

So call ebay and tell them to google the address? Why would they do that? They only look to make sure if the Zip code and address match, I doubt they would care about anything else I have to say.
