Activity: 0% Longevity: 29% | | Buyer wants to return. Reason - Odd smell
Hello friends
So I never had experience like this so looking for your help/advice. I sold an expensive bag to buyer on ebay. After receiving it, buyer claimed that it has odd smell and wants to return. But in reality this is just the smell of the bag and nothing else. Bag has never been used and was sitting in my closet for a long time. Also I did not accept returns on this listing. Should I just say no or if she opens return case whos side will ebay take?
Thanks again!!!

They'll side with the buyer so it would be better if you accepted the return peacefully on your own.

^^ What phaz0rz said is all you need to know. Don't waste time fighting this. All you might end up is a defect for allowing CS intervention, your returned bag and adverse feedback as icing on the cake.
High ticket items = potential for big problems.
Good luck and I hope you come out on top.

Creating any friction with the buyer may put you in a compromisable position

Ebay INAD trumps your no return policy, just agree to return and get over it.
If Ebay is involved,it will make you pay for the return and gives you a defect.
It sounds like buyer remorse.

Always send a message first and say that you don't normally accept returns but since your unhappy I want to help" and tell them the address to send it to.
Sometimes you can trick them to pay for it.
Or my preferred : don't respond and
Wait till the last day to upload a label,
Sometimes they forget to ship it back and they only have 7 days, after that call in and tell them their has been no movement on the return. And then you keep your money
Worst case scenario they return it back you.

Thanks again!!! | I'd say take it back and refund, then sell it again.
I like to fight back but the system is rigged in favor of the buyer.

It sounds like buyer remorse. | Both are true.
And the more idiots I have for returns, I'm realizing the current fraud is
Buyer: This is not as described I want to return this, or I'd be ok with you "insert unfair partial refund amount here"
And the worst part is I have to read a whole paragraph of them beating around the bush about a partial, and then listen to them get mad when I tell them" I don't do partials because it's a form of fraud to lie about inad and try to get more than half off"
Lmao I went off on a buyer today and got a negative fkin scammers are out now that it's the holidays
I've met all my financial goals and just getting this $$ until managed payments. Then I'm slowing down
Time for some whiskey 😀
Sorry for the paragraph, I tend to write on here more often when I'm fking with buyers lmao

Republic of Georgia buyers always buy items, ship to Delaware, then make crazy reasons for return item and then when you agree to return they say "I can't return it, it will cost too much for shipping give me partial refund or I will leave negative feedback ...."
Are you really the seller or are you looking for how to get a discount on a bag?

feedback extortion,if you call Ebay and show them the email, she can remove the neg for you.
For INAD,Ebay expects you to pay for return shipping, but with overseas transaction,Ebay cannot print a shipping label, neither can you,so it expects you to send her some money for postage or refund after you receive the item,no way to enforce it if you refuse to do so.

if Ebay gets involved and decide in buyer favor, since you refuse to allow return, yes, ebay will refund her and let her keep the item.
no return means you dont want it back.
Only if buyer wins, and INAD with no return, buyer always win

You really have no choice when it comes to returns.
eBay and PayPal always trump what your "policy" says.
Even if your listings say "NO RETURNS" this means the buyer can return or get refund, period.
