China Seller lists ships USA

I buy a lot of stuff from China and a lot of it is custom made. I was looking at some other items with a nice mark up and saw whereas a "USA" listed seller was selling for free shipping whereas the shipping and cost of goods would leave his profit at zero. Buried in the description was a statement the goods would arrive from Hong Kong in 15-30 days. Hmmm. So I see how he makes money. I went on his store and ALL of his listings state ships from USA (L A) but all are coming from Hong Kong. But when you try to hit Report this Item a pop up comes up that states to please enter an item number that has not ended. ALL OF HIS ITEMS are current. Is that eBay's way of turning a blind eye to his deceptive practices? He has 92K feedback.

many Chinese sellers ship from a warehouse in CA,they could be dropshipping from there.
I doubt he is making zero, the exchange rate is such he is making some money

Nope, his listing states Epacket from Hong Kong down at the bottom although listing says shipped from USA. Pretty sure he cannot drop that in the USPS mailbox in LA and USPS would mail it.

so he is shipping from HK,and you want to report him???

I want him to disclose he is shipping from HK, I messaged him but then saw he had 92K feedback and his hundreds of ads all say shipped from USA? He is selling some less than what a tracked item cost sent across town in LA? Should not be able to falsify shipping location. I thought that was a no no with eBay?
But to answer your question. YES!

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

if you can't report him on his listing, then call Ebay.

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

Just call eBay and point it out. Or open a support ticket or whatever they're called on eBay.

Sounds like a glitch is preventing you from reporting listings that seriously need to be reported. This is eBay.. not wish.

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

If he has 92K feedback, and you dont see anyone complaining,I doubt if anyone cares where he shipped from,Ebay buyers care more about how much they pay for the item.
Chinese sellers can sell for 99 cents, with free shipping from China and make money.

His negative feedback is mostly about "where is my item" Slow Shipping, etc. All of his items when you report says (please put in a current listed item) so how does he do that?

I have no idea how he's doing it and neither does agent.

You could try reporting from a different country eBay site, like .ca or .co.uk, and see if the results are any different.

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

I dont think he can report him from another ebay site.as they are both registered in USA.
But if he has many negs, then either buyers dont care or he will have lower visibility or one day get suspended?

Chinese sellers should be banned from eBay or Amazon...these marketplaces are ruin their and our business

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

There is one fact that most people are not aware of, the communist Chinese government organizes e-commerce sellers and makes forums for them where they meet up and plan what they want to do.

China is waging an economic war against the west (to put it mildly). These Chinese sellers are simply exporting the inflation of the Chinese economy while at the same time destroying businesses in the west.

So when you see a China-based seller selling stuff for 1$, they are not really after that 1 penny in profit, there is hidden agenda behind that practice as well.

I know it sounds crazy, but that's actually 100% true. The Chinese have created Aliexpress for exactly that purpose, they are exporting the excess of Chinese factories to other western nations.

I see sellers on Aliexpress with hundreds of thousands of feedback points, imagine if these sellers were not allowed to ship their items to the US or Europe... local western businesses would have made millions if not billions in profits.

In my estimation, the west has shot itself in the head by allowing the manufacturing to move offshore to Asian countries. The loss is in the trillions of dollars and it is not just monetary by the way. The Chinese genie is out of the bottle now and is destined to keep growing thanks to American tax payers' money that helped the genie come out of the bottle in the first place.

Anyway, I think nations as well as people do get what they deserve at the end of the day and when a nation is so hypnotized that it can't see who its real enemy really is, that nations is destined to fail.

the problem is that it is like dr.ugs. except, the garbage they sell is le.gal making the situation infinitely worse. americans fiend for it now.

Basically impossible to enforce.

The Chinese are very very good at circumnavigating any sort of geographical location limitations. It would be impossible to enforce. and wouldn't be good from a consumer POV

it's impossible, even you banned we can use other country's account to go on sell :)

most of what we sell come from China anyway, except the Chinese sell for less.
Thats why Trump wants to do something with this 99 cents free shipping from China,

They dont have to lie about where they are or where their merchandise is,many buyers know they will wait up to 30 days to get their goods, some dropship from an outift in CALIFORNIA.

That is fine but how can they "TURN OFF" report this item? On hundreds of items.

But to answer your question. YES!

You have no transaction with this seller yet you're doing your best to report their listings even contacting him/her.

You're not doing this because you want eBay to be a better place - as you're here breaking eBay's rule with your stealth accounts. Hypocrisy

So why don't we call this what it really is: a little something inside you just dies that this seller's shop is a massive success right?

Envy, especially one borne of resentful contemplation of a more fortunate person, is a terrible thing.

Perhaps you should think positively how to grow your own business - and succeed as he has. :thumb:

Corporate bodies will turn a blind eye to how their actions affect the economy of any country especially when there's money to be made.
Manufacturing was moved to China to save money in the first place.

And the second tracking shows a Chinese tracking number, you should be instantly banned for circumventing the system. EASY. No matter how much your government helps you, there is no way you can get around something like that, period. If you want the savings from government subsidized shipping, you have to used Chinese shipping. If you don't use Chinese shipping, you can't sell things for the absurdly low amounts you're selling them for. Boom, The Chinese problem is over and maybe then you'd actually have to compete on a level playing field. Lets see how long you last then.

I'm sorry, but if the shipping location shows America, you'd have to be a complete moron, to be ok with your item taking 30 days to ship, IN AMERICA.

Scary thing is, if you buy from China, ebay doesn't even allow INR cases to be opened, for 59 days. But god forbid I ship to another country, buyers can open up cases in a couple weeks.

There are many, many ways around it. There are ample things the west can do now that will eventually cripple china economically, forcing them to collapse upon their own weight. I have written several papers on this particular topic and the rise of China since 2012.

But I think the west is asleep to the danger that is unfolding.

We're busy arguing about rights, freedom, religion and fighting terrorism - which when all combined; aren't nearly as dangerous as the powershift that may take place in a few decades if the west does not do something soon.

LOL succeed as he has? There is a difference between lying to ebay, and lying to your customers. BIG difference. The only way for him to better his business, would be to lie to his customers.

I bet you'd also be upset with me for taking down accounts that are selling counterfeit goods? Cause it's all envy, right?

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

they will still have an advantage ,they buy direct from the factory in Chinese $$,the exchange rate is 1 US dollar to 6 1/2 Chinese dollar, workers layoff from the factories sometimes are given merchandise instead of severance pay,so they need to sell and raise cash, some dumpster dive or steal!
if you sell the same item and charge $3.95 shipping with tracking, that $3.95 comes to $26 Chinese dollars, they can still ship cheaper than you with tracking using China Post or other carriers.
The solution is not sell what they sell.

agent006140 01-11-2020 10:15 AM

Re: China Seller lists ships USA

Think Russia and Russian goods.
The exchange rate is US$1 = 61 Russian rubles,I was watching Youtube ,a Russian local cafeteria and how much it cost to eat there, you can have a nice meal for under US$5

It's not a waste of time thread. It's a waste of time on that single aspect of the thread. And even then, you can say it's not a waste of time, because now we know ebay blocks some people from reporting sellers. Learning how ebay works, is never a waste of time.

Are you really going to deny it? He's competing against a guy that's lying and is able to sell so much, that his lies don't seem to actually come back and hurt him. How oh how, is the OP supposed to compete against this guy, without also lying about where his item is coming from? Sure as hell can't sell at the same price. So go on, tell us how you would do better. Aside from going into a different category, because sellers can easily do the same thing in every category.

Of course, such a goodfella - you woke up one morning checked up a random category, found a seller who's violating policy, looked up all his listings (remember he has 90k feedback)
and now you're chasing him up and down because you want to set him aright.
Have you thought about volunteering for a charity?

So you have over 1200 posts on a stealth website and no stealth accounts?
Are you sure about that? In your previous threads, you have informed us that your personal account had been banned. In fact, you have had subsequent accounts that have also been banned. You have also bought accounts here and sold items on those accounts.
Shall we just call you Pinocchio?

eBay banned your personal account because they wanted to create a level playing field for everyone. This is always implied in the email they send out with suspensions.
But you have circumvented that suspension by using several accounts, disregarding the level playing field that eBay had implemented by banning you.

Same thing with this seller. He or she is violating some eBay rule or policy. He's circumvented it to his advantage. Both of you have one advantage each over eBay policy, therefore it's a level playing field between the two of you but you're probably seething.

As you can see, it's envy. But I'll be happy to add hypocrisy to it.
