| | | Confederate71 | 01-13-2020 01:40 AM | Ebay Bias Toward Buyers A recent buyer changed his shipping address after the item had been posted. Lodged a claim for non receipt and Ebay approved a refund. Reason given - no tracking supplied. Profile showed buyer in Canada and Canadian shipping address shown. Item shipped to that address. Referring back to item , shipping details now showing Taiwan address. Informed Ebay of this in appeal. No luck.
Appeal refused - no tracking supplied. In 10 years on Ebay have not come across this before. Item was posted by ordinary mail due to low value. No explanation from Ebay or buyer.
Any solutions here or just bias against seller |

| agent006140 | 01-13-2020 10:58 AM | Re: Ebay Bias Toward Buyers sad but true, but if a buyer does it too many times,he would be a hazard to Ebay seller community and his buying privilege would be suspended.
Hazard to Ebay seller community-it is Ebay words, not mine.
If payment for the order is $750 or more, signature is required |

NO tracking?? That's a huge mistake.
You NEED tracking at the very least.
There's no winning this one. If there was I'd be very surprised. |
| agent006140 | 01-13-2020 01:13 PM | Re: Ebay Bias Toward Buyers she said it is low price items.
Sellers of low price items usually do not use tracking, ribbons, stamps, cheap coins, postcards, flag, etc |

Any solutions here or just bias against seller | Even if they didn't change the address, they could open a case, and they'd still win. While ebay is biased towards buyers, THIS is not an example of that. I'm shocked that in 10 years, this is your first experience with a very common ebay policy. |

Any solutions here or just bias against seller | How would you know they have changed address after purchasing?
I do not suppose eBay / PayPal can update notification e-mail after delivery into your mail system.
Is it possible this customer has differing addresses on eBay and Paypal and you had unwittingly copied the eBay address when you sent the item? |
| degsey69 | 01-13-2020 06:35 PM | Re: Ebay Bias Toward Buyers We are lucky here n the USA where the very vast majority of shipping has tracking and if it shows delivered then eBay is 100% on your side. I do not know about Australia, UK sellers send out a lot untracked as they are not bound by weight but physical size of package.
If its a cheap product swallow it as the cost of doing business and if its expensive use tracking and anything very expensive get it signed for. |
