You don't know that. I know plenty of Nationalists, that love to buy American made goods.

When I was in my auto parts business, I ONLY worked with American manufacturers. Of course, my competition took my parts, and sent them to china to be copied. And the parts were always sub standard... but everything I sold, was American made. I gave money to 5 different companies, in the process of producing a product.

We sold China all of our machines, including the machines to make more machines. We screwed ourselves over, royally. Which is why I don't feel that bad that this is happening ( aside from people dying, I mean), because it might actually wake people up. The entire worlds economy is connected to one corrupt communist country... it's ridiculous.

This is a myth. The west made trillions of dollars on the back of cheap Chinese labor.

Now that the Chinese are taking matters into their own hands, the west is pissed off :juggle:

Trillions of tax dollars have been spent on endless wars to make the pockets of certain companies/individuals thicker and deeper :pop2:

The criminal tax rates imposed on you and your business are the problem that is hindering your growth, not China :doh:

We are 100% up and running, shipping etc BUT no employees for at least one more month so.... not much is getting done other than shipping goods made last January.

low import fees, and China taxing the hell out of anything we try to export there, is among the many things hindering growth.

lol it's cute that you're cheer-leading for China tho. I doubt they care or need your help. You're full of nonsense. Dealing with China, has destroyed Americas manufacturing capabilities. To honestly try to claim, that we wouldn't have been better off if we kept producing and exporting products, is laughable.

You sound like the type of people that claim slavery actually helped our growth, when if we avoided slavery, we would have advanced decades faster than we did. Just as we are currently stagnating, and are at the whims of China. We we would have made WAY more if we didn't make money on cheap Chinese labor.

I would never cheer lead for China!! I was just laying some hardcore facts about why China is not to blame for everything :violin:

Btw, China is decades behind the US in terms of advanced manufacturing, so saying the US is at the whims of China is laughable :boink:

just because we are better at it, doesn't mean we are capable of actually doing it. We don't have the capability! We sold our machines to China. You clearly have zero actual knowledge of manufacturing. I have first hand knowledge. We are not able to produce what we'd need to produce, if China decided to screw us over. So yes, we are at the whims of China. So are quite a lot of countries.

At the whims of China BY WILL!! America has all the resources to manufacture anything that China produces, but due to economics manufacturing was relocated to China.

Huawei is dying because of American sanctions, they don't know how to make the chips needed to power their smartphones, let along the operating system :pound:

I am not exaggerating when I say China is decades behind :violin: They just happen to have an edge because of cheap slave labor with which they lured all these western companies =}-

You do realize Huawei is an international brand, and most of their sales are domestic, and in other countries? Not so much in the USA? I know someone closely affiliated with the company, they will thrive. I'm sure they will eventually figure out how to get around Google's sanctions, but it will take a while.

Not really advocating for them, just shedding some light. People really look down on China because of personal issues against the country. As much as we might despise their communistic ideals, and their ways of handling life threatening issues, let's not negate the fact that what they have done in the past 100 years is freaking ridiculous. They technically own the world at the moment, since cash rules everything around us, and they are the hub for 1st world countries to make that cash.

Sorry for the rant, my knowledge is limited, but we can't ignore the facts. Carry on.

I placed an order with my supplier last weekend, sales guys are working from home, factory have 20% working at the moment. Due an update tomorrow, use DHL as courier so �� it can be shipped with no issues. My goods are available in UK, but at least twice the price.

My shipping agent told me they already returned to work 2 weeks ago, and I heard that the shipments handled by post office will be delayed, DHL might be (or not) slightly delayed.

No delay with DHL my first shipment shipped from Shenzhen on Wednesday and its reached germany and due to deliver tomrrow

Chinese businesses are having problem paying their bills and keeping their factory open,some small businesses have just enough cash to keep going for a few days.
Some state owned enterprises are asking debt holders to accept 37 cents on the dollar for the debts they issued and state offers are not enough to bail everyone out.
so know your suppliers.

Impossible. They're a bunch of ghosts. They're even worse than Americans about simply dissolving the company and starting a new one if the going gets rough and they aren't making enough money. There's little to no repercussions for debt, bankruptcy, or screwing over your customers to remain profitable.. so it's a common practice, in China. :shocked:

My people handed off my first post-CNY shipment to their agent last night. Once I get a tracking number I'll let you guys know if there are any delays as the shipment progresses from HK -> USA.

My Guangzhou supplier says DHL is not working there. I'm not sure whether she's just telling me that becuase she doesn't want to risk leaving her house to ship parcels

Far as I know ups and dhl aren’t readily working in the area my suppliers are. FedEx and sfexpress (which turns into ups once it reaches USA) should be fine for most.

Also key thing to consider, sfexpress is charging extra rates in many locations, maybe FedEx is too but I know sfexpress is. If you have suppliers saying they can’t ship, it could be because it’s more expensive than normal and they’re just not telling you.

UPDATE : the shipment I mentioned in my last few posts in this thread is now mobile and is estimated for delivery on Tuesday. Currently in HK waiting to board a plane for USA.

thats easy,if they have to,they will just walk over to HK,there is a fast train,HK folks can go in the morning,order clothese,drapes and go see movie,brunch and pick them up in afternoon and come home.

There's a bit more involved than that, but yes, Shenzhen is the ideal location for Chinese suppliers wanting to shift their inventory through HK. :coffee:

That's the case for me as well. Everything that is shipping is inventory that was manufactured before CNY.

Unless your supplier is bordering Wuhan I don’t see why you should have a problem. Factories haven’t resumed yet I don’t think for most industries. Most sellers stocked up more before new year anyways though.
