Default Heart skips a beat when I check my emails.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

I log into my email account to check on things and I'm looking down them and see something that says "Paypal suspension" or "Paypal is asking for Drivers license" and my heart skips a beat when I think it Paypal sending me an email about limiting my account when its just an thread subscription update email from this forum.

Oh yeah. Heart jumps and dare not hold a coffee in the hand. Coffee gets thrown over the monitor.

Saying that, I thought there is a method to send emails to different folders especially with gmail? It's on my list of 'gonna do', just not yet

like I am gonna answer TigerLord

Probably BEST to cancel the email thread updates.

Might make your heart last a little longer?

I have my forum messages go to an entirely different email than any addresses I use for official ebay or pp stuff.

I had your scenario happen to me the very first time I got an email update, because I had used my regular address when I first signed up here. I changed it right away. Well, after I finished choking up the cigarette I swallowed...

I hear you VicVelcro. I use different email addresses everything but I have them all forwarded to one account.

I will just set them to be delivered to a separate folder as Greenbean suggested or just disable them all together as TheyGotMeToo said. I just haven't got around to it.

It got me good last night though so I am going to do this now before I have a heart attack.

Run, don't walk to your email filters. I can't do virtual CPR.

What a lot of people don't seem to know is that you can add anything to your username on gmail after a + sign and it will all go to your email.

So if your original gmail is Greenbean@gmail.com you can use

Greenbean+coffee@gmail.com
Greenbean+ihazbadbloodpressure@gmail.com
Greenbean+iluvkoalas@gmail.com
Greenbean+kangooroosforu@gmail.com

will all end up in the same inbox of Greenbean@gmail.com

Except eBay doesn't recognize them as the same ebay address, so you could use the same inbox for for many paypal and eBay accounts if you so desired. I dont, but its an option.

Tiger, don't you think that is pretty close to the same thing as using your own domain name for multiple accounts? Seems like an easy thing to avoid and it could also link you.

I agree with Lakeman. I would never use that method Tigerlord sugessted to send any emails.

I only have all emails directed to one account to view them. I view them all using the "Basic HTML" feature of Gmail to avoid any possibility of the images being loaded thus allowing cookies to be loaded.

Any emails I send, I use the specific user account for said replies.

You can never be too careful. They are really getting good. Obviously they are extremely powerful and have alot of connections.

And as much as this forum helps us all, unfortunately we are helping them as well.

But we have to keep doing it.

I suppose it would be easy to link you if the bots caught you yes.

I don't use that method, but it can be useful for a lot of other stuff
