Unable to log into my account
 

Hi everyone

I have been on ebay for about 15 years. I bought something a couple of days ago and afterwards downloaded the app, I usually just use the full site. When I try to sign in it says i must receive a code as i am signing in from a new device. When I press the phone button the number that comes up must be an old landline number I had years ago, there is no option to add a new number to receive the code.

Customer services are taking no calls due to the corona virus.

Any ideas what I can do to get logged back into my account?

Ugh, can you log in normally from your original computer?

This is another reason why the app is not recommended.

Thanks for the replies
I cannot log in to my account from my PC or any device, and to change my phone number I need to log into my account.
I wish I had never downloaded their stupid app.
I guess I will just have to wait until they decide to open their call centre again.

yes always best to avoid using a new device if you dont have a valid phone number as you have found out the hard way and the same with paypal ,hope when you can finally contact them it gets sorted.

I always see an option like may be later,
