Appreciate the honest opinion. But yes, I came to see opinions on whether burning through stealth accounts and continuously buying accounts actually is doable. I got some good answers.

Whether the fact that I'm selling masks or not, (I could of said some other random item) I came to this forum to see what options would work from senior experienced users. Thanks!

Fair point made

Our opinions on what you sell are of no consequence whatsoever - I am sure a percentage of posters who come here do business in a way that would draw similar moralising

Good luck with it, I hope it works for you and you get where you need to be (I'm not a senior experienced user though LOL)

Not sure if you missed my reply a few posts up. I've been tracking mask listings for 6 weeks. I don't know what your cost basis is, but those testing for covid-19 and those assisting sick patients are looking for hundreds or thousands of masks. You can unload them all at once. I've gotten inquiries for 5k units of kn95(although I never had over a few hundred). You can skip the hassle of eBay(not sure if you're selling individually or in lots) by just selling to a couple medical supply companies or distributors. But if you're trying to sell piecewise to 3x or 4x your money, I understand the allure of stealth eBay and friends'/relatives' accounts. I'd rather take the 2x bulk sale and be done with them.

The number one seller of kn95 on eBay now seems to be exempt from any removal(eBay probably doesn't want to piss them off since they bring in close to $100k in fees for eBay per year and over $1 million lifetime). They've now made almost $20k in 2 days off this one listing(assuming each unit costs $1-$2 now, normally $.25-$.50):

I've talked to medical suppliers and healthcare workers regarding the KN95 masks. They'd rather pay $5 for those if buying over 100 pieces than $10 for N95 masks despite the lack of certification and regulation. On Craigslist, N95 listings get flagged immediately but KN95 listings rarely get flagged. It seems that you can't get busted for gouging on the KN95 masks since there was no established preexisting market in the US for them. You can honestly get $5/piece for them when your cost is probably close to $2 each. Healthcare workers will buy them up right away, but you still need to do your buyer due diligence if you're selling 100 pieces or more.
It seems like eBay isn't as trigger happy on removing KN95 listings vs N95/3M listings. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...=kn95&_sacat=0

The top sellers are mostly established accounts. There isn't much rhyme or reason to which mask listings get removed the most quickly. I've seen one seller relist the same box of masks 13 times and sell them all without getting removed. But regardless, almost all multi-quantity listings get removed within 24 hours or even faster. Sometimes, it seems like the removal bots are turned off. I've seen some sellers selling for a high price($80-$100 per mask plus shipping) and have sold about 10 masks in a week from a singe listing yet other sellers have had their listings removed right away.

This listing got pulled after a day: https://media.discordapp.net/attachm...4/unknown.png]

Hi everyone,

To start off, I've read all the related face masks selling stories on this site. Some users were helpful and some weren't and I totally understand.

I've also donated few boxes of masks to my local obgyn hospital (wife is pregnant) and urgent care hospitals where me and my usually go to.

To start off, I've some how pulled off large shipments of face masks from South Korea. All legit KF94 masks and high quality compared to those cheap chinese ones where i've been reading bad stuff about them from people I know and also on other websites.

For each ebay and paypal account I had, I've been able to sell over $3000 worth of items until the account was suspended. I've been able to do this 4 times on different accounts using my family members computers at their location.

From my calculation, with my margin I can try buying stealth accounts to use
overseas through remote access (partner has computers and new locations with ip addresses) to control the newly bought stealth accounts.

My question is: Would this work? and if not? is there a better way? I am told with the new stealth accounts, I have to start slowly, would listing 1 item with quantity of less than 10 be okay to start off with?

P.S. I understand and take all bashing about selling face masks, but I'd really like to sell these off at a small margin. I intentionally bought these masks to support my family and friends as I hated the chinese products and then found a way to bulk purchase korean ones from korea. Thanks!

*EDIT* All 4 ebay accounts were suspended only on selling. Purchasing is fine. All 4 Paypal accounts are still fine.

One big problem to overcome in your plan, how can you avoid being suspended when you sell really fast by using a new ebay account? I tried and suspended as soon as I listed first item!

Thanks for your reply. My plan was not to avoid being suspended. My plan was to sell as fast before I get suspended and burn through stealth accounts. And from the answers I've received, I think i know what to do.

My acc was BANNED Due to the the FACEMASKS, i then spoke to the coustmer service people and i managed to convince them i was not aware of the new rules and that i did not read them, i also informed them that ebay warned me but despite that it still was blocked. In otherwords i played stupid "that i was not aware of new rules" and some how convinced them to unban me

What's your plan, to just sell in bulk to a medical distributor or healthcare workers? if you paid $2-$3 per mask, you can sell them for $5-$6 thousands at a time if your masks actually pass a particulate and splatter test.

How did you get contact with customer service? do you have a #? I tried all and they say they are closed.

Consider yourself lucky indeed - well done - don't redo the same action

I see free gloves in supermarket but not free masks.
Unless the supermarket is open 24/7,go shopping when it opens at 10 am,11 am and any virus would have been dead by now.

Coronavirus could live in air for days!

I'd love to do this, problem is that USA doesn't accept KF94 masks. Only n95 and kn95's are the legally approved masks from CDC, eventhough KF94's are equivalent or even superior than the kn95s. So nurses, doctors would love to use them but they also need to abide the law.

Agree. I heard they live on the face masks for 1 week. So either spray with lysol or just don't use it for a week and alternate between masks and re-use.

Can't distribute to medical facilities as these are not legally approved by CDC in USA. KF94's are from South Korea.

Oof - the quality checks in play - I don't know about the permitted use of the KF94's to offer options

Hey just wondering what happened I have practically the same story you have with my medical gowns.. I was selling great for 3-4 days then BOOM all my accounts indefinitely restricted. I was looking to just buy stealth accounts to just last for 5-6 days tops but I’ve heard stories about getting ended right after a listing so I was a little skeptical plus I’m the most un savvy computer user there is so I’m really doing extensive research. Just wanted to know how it worked for you?

If you do decide to sell them, then make sure you dont start by listing them first. List something else, then give it like a week then slowly start listing them.
