Paypal/ebay dont needs to verify the reports, once seller reported to police and it will be recorded on your name few cases will start investigating and you will get visit from your local police ��

this is not true in USA. Police don't care at all about this sort of things. Legally if you tell them ebay/paypal is asking, then legally they have to write you a police report. What ebay does is send that report to ic3.gov. Even ic3.gov doesn't care (it's possible the buyer is lying or post office lost it). It's like a tally system. Once they see MULTIPLE complaints about one person, then they might act.

Sold $400 item, buyer claimed "empty box".
Ebay asked for police report, then ebay refunded buyer.
Few days later I see a seller leave my buyer a feedback saying "be careful with this guy he will claim you sent him nothing in box".
Call eBay to rant (didn't expect anything). 'how can you let him get away with it', 'he's done this before, look at his 8th most recent feedback', etc.
Ebay rep cuts me off "sorry, don't mean to interrupt, but you are right, we only allow one of these per account. I've appealed the case. You'll get a payout in 24-48 hours".
Got payment from ebay $400 to my paypal two hours later.


Ebay knew this guy did this before. But once they found out I knew he did it before, ebay paid up. Ebay is the biggest scammer. I've never seen a company lie to customers face just to protect itself

have dealt with this kind of buyers. i've been doing selling on ebay for over three years with a stealth account and several ones. i can spot a buyer who wants free stuff. about your case, get a ups tracking number for the zip code of the customer and put it in the tracking for this customer. look at this feedback left for others, and as long as you have proof it'll be ok. second alternative would be to approve the return when you receive the"box" take pictures immediately, contact ebay, explain KINDLY the situation, be real super FRIENDLY to the ebay rep. they will send you an affidavit for you to sign,. scan and email back to them. wait about 48 hours and there it is... you will receive your money back! i've done it before and it works!

ebay has no way to tell who is telling the truth,but MBG kicks in and it tries to make both
sides happy.
But if your buyer keeps doing it,he will be restricted from buying as he is a hazard to the Ebay seller community.

On the other hand, lost quite a few of these cases. Best bet is use real account for big items and file police report. The only way to get your money back.
