I have accts with several banks and don't pay a dime in fees.
The catch is you need to leave a minimum amount in each one of these accts. Worth it if you ask me.
Just do your research on banks in your area and figure out which ones require the least amount to avoid fees.

Thanks I do have several single bank accounts but I wonder if there's any banks in particular that offer me several checking accounts so I don't have to keep going to separate banks.

You can get some with like 10 dollars but u need to make 10 debit card purchases. If you're really dedicated u can go to a gas station and pump a nickel worth of gas 10 times thus costing u 50 cents. U still get 50 cents of gas while you're at it.

rate is so low ,banks are not making much money,checking account is convenient for us,but work for them to churn them thru the computer ,send out statements,man the phone lines,thats why big banks want 1500 minimum,while savings account is less work for them,only 100 and up

There are different kinds of checking accounts,so one can open more than one with the same bank-student/veteran,regular,draft protection??
But it is easier t o open different savings account than checking account

Do savings accounts work for paypal bank and transfers. Also what bank allows many savings accounts. The reason I just opened a capital one 360 was because I heard you can have many savings accounts with different account numbers I guess now that I'm told they don't do other names, now that won't work.

Ok so deposits they won't allow but can I at least use capital 360 savings accounts ( the multiple they allow me to open) as a place holder for paypal/ebay for the first 90 days or so , then if the account doesn't die, I can switch the banking info? Or do you mean from the gecko they won't allow linkage to paypal due to mismatch of name.

makes no difference to Paypal whether it is checking or saving.
There are different savings.checking.money market accounts,go to CIT bank and take a look,but some savings like term CD there is minimum.
why do you want to open all in one bank,since on internet,you can just log on and log off without going to a physical branch
