eBay allows multiple selling accounts registered to one person?

One of my competitors has a multitude of seller accounts all with the exact same photos/products and even store names. Example: storename_01 storename_02 storename_03. There are about 8 stores of theirs like this. I've bought from their different stores before and all of their stores are linked to their 1 PayPal account. I live chatted with eBay support if one corporation/account owner is allowed to open up more than 1 eBay store with the same account details. (Same corporation, same individual owner details). They said yes, just use a different email, it is allowed.
I really didn't know this and I've always used different owner information / different corporations for different selling accounts in the past. Not to mention different computers and internet connections or VPNs. Has anyone here just made multiple seller accounts using the same owner and corporation information before. and can link these accounts to 1 paypal account without any problems? I'm very concerned about this even though ebay "confirmed" with me it is allowed. I don't know since when this is allowed. Am I late to the party?

Kind of a tough read OP - best to space out the text.

I have created multiple eb accounts in the past all linked to 1 pp as a personal user (not business). While this is allowed, there are risks - severe linking...while I didn't get axed by eb (they are actually still all alive for the most part since 2010 or so), limits were split amongst all and it took awhile for limits to increase with good operation of the accounts.

I wasn't selling anything high end or risky on them

May I ask what you mean by the risk of severe linking? I just checked and this seller has at least a total of 9 accounts on eBay, all with the same store name with different ending numerals at the end. What's severe linking? It seems like there's no limit on the number of eBay selling accounts that 1 account owner can have...

If I open a new business account with a new corporation but my own personal details as the beneficiary owner, will ebay link to my other (main) account as well in the event the new corporation's ebay account goes down? Since it's tied to my name... But a different corporation...

Why bother using your own personal details? Stealth works - keep the corporation name though - just an idea.
