Beware! Ebay spanish translation can cause sellers trouble.

I sell on eBay a product which I am not going to describe, its comes without a component which you get with it in normal retail and sells under half the retail price and sells exceptionally well.

I ship this product by UPS to the main 48 states and use USPS for the protectorates.

In the listing title and description it says "comes with no ****" the translation into Spanish says it does come with this component as I am lead to believe by the inhabitants of Puerto Rico.

Due to numerous complaints, return requests and negative feedback we have had to restrict from selling to the protectorates as this became a nightmare.

Has anybody else experienced this with the translator on eBay or am I being scammed, I would like to believe the former.

My native language is spanish and i try to speak english as i learned it in school (lol). So i can confirm ebay translation into spanish often shows errors and many people can misunderstand titles and descriptions.

That is what I thought and thank you for the clarity, I thought it was unusual having so many question on what they received and claims. I did deal with the negative feedback by making an appeal on the grounds of buyer error and they purchased in error something they contained everything.

We have now excluded the protectorates not for fraud but for translation difficulties on this item.

I am still selling other related product to them as I am one of only a few sellers that will sell this outside the 48 states
