Do eBay delete accounts/information

After a number of years does ebay delete accounts/account holder information etc?

Or are they kept forever ?

They are kept forever to ensure people who have been suspended do not sign up again.

You can ask them to delete all data of your account. Dig deep into help pages and ask one of eb rep and they'll give you detailed instructions how to get all data removed from their database. I can't give more details due to some reasons but I'm sure these much information will help you move towards your goal.

Slokor is right, after deletion of all of your data still they'll flag your any new account and suspend you because they'll keep all linked links with the name of anonymous suspended user but there won't be single bit of information (about you) in their server after completing deletion.

They can effectively keep it forever if they can show the regulators they have legitimate reason to do so, there is no statutory timescale. They assume consent unless instructed otherwise.

As soundofsilence said, you can ask them to delete your data and after a given period of time, they state 6-10 years in the UK/EU personal data must be anonymised. Would I trust them to do this, not likely. That said, in a decades time armed with a new passport I reckon creating a new account would be easy enough with a bit of care, particularly if you've moved home too.
