How to get returns closed successfully
I found the secret today of getting a return closed out after the date has expired for the customer to return the item.
As returns are getting too common place and easy for someone with buyer remorse to send the order back. I use my UPS account to send them a prepaid label and delete any information of where to take the package to to return it. (A little note here, recently eBay has been issuing labels automatically like Amazon, so make sure you check that you want to give the return order your own RMA number and that stops auto shipping labels sent
I do not do this to everybody, genuine returns I accept and use eBays USPS labels, just the ones you know that are not genuine and make claims of a product being defective when you know it can not be.
Usually the order does not get returned as they are to lazy to go past the mail box to return the order.
I have found recently that eBay are reluctant to close the return after the 16 days the buyer has to send it back and now under MP they are holding your money for the return. I had recently applied to have a return closed after 18 days with no return and 20 days after no return to be told that they will close out after a month automatically. Under MP what a cash cow for eBay for returns not sent back and they hold the money for a month.
Not in my life time. Today I emailed eBay again with 2 cases one 19 days open and the other 22 days open and no return. I informed them in the email that as the buyers had not send back the order in the time allowed them that I had cancelled the UPS labels and should the buyer take the order to UPS the scan will show shipping cancelled.
Guess what both returns closed and funds released back to me.
