So he builds up his store for a month or two selling at NORMAL prices. I would have rather it was stolen merch or some other explanation. But customers not receiving there stuff is bad for business and why ebay is clamping down on stealth accounts. This affects all of us that sell on ebay.
| Ebay/PP holds are not removed after 30 days, it's minimum 90 days and even then sometimes the money can still be held. So if he's building stores for 3 months just to scam 1-2k or something, that's just plain dumb and a waste of time. Anyways thats an outdated way of scamming, these days the scammers have better methods that don't even need aged accounts to get their money released but i won't go into it. Sucks for you but there's not much you can do, ebay take action too late and it's paypal who end up paying i guess since the stealth pp he uses will go negative but obviously he doesn't care. Reminds me of an australian scammer who would sell expensive phones and shipping to UK but state shipping would take 25-30 days aka after the 21 day hold, quite hilarious. |
