Default Contesting Ebay Refund

I sold an item for $150 and regular customer requested refund, I sent him updated tracking showing item in his town. He escalated to eBay and they refunded his money. He escalated to eBay 2 days after tracking shows it was delivered. I did not update tracking in ebay but have copy of delivery result. I cannot find a link on how to appeal, every link I go to tells me what I need to appeal but NOT HOW TO Appeal. Says I have 30 days.

How the hell is ebay supposed to side with you if they don't have the tracking info in their system?

YOu shipped an item you sold on eBay but you didn't give eBay the tracking number? Is this correct?

high value is meant for item $1k and more,his is only $150

item in his town,what does that mean,it has to show delivered !

I sent the tracking to the customer (regular customer and has bought 25-30 items from me). It was coming from overseas and the tracking number was like 40 digits. Unable to put in system. He has the item, happy with it, but says the returned money has not hit his paypal yet??? I emailed eBay and they told me to work it out with the customer, have him send the item back. He WANTS the item? Just a cluster.

Talk to your customer - if he is a regular he will want to buy from you again. Possibly send him a Paypal invoice

I had something similar late last year and the customer paid me. Saved on Ebay fees LOL

If the buyer has admitted to the item being delivered, and ebay can see this, they will rule in your favor. Just did that a few days ago actually. Didn't even have tracking number to provide. But if the buyer says he's got it, that's all ebay cares about.

Give ebay a ring and get it sorted for the defect removed at least. Sounds like the buyer will take care of the issue if they want to continue doing business. Also, sounds like the perfect example of taking the buyer off ebay altogether and sell direct.

It is not good enough to give just the tracking number,you also have to say which carrier so it know to go to that site and verify tracking results/
if not,the give the website URL,those who ship via private trucking co do that
