Today I received my first dispute through eBay managed payments. eBay said they're holding my funds until the dispute is resolved but it shows that my payout was already initiated for today. I also don't see anything indicating that the transfer was reversed. Maybe it's just wishful thinking and it should probably be obvious that they were able to reverse or deny the transfer just like PayPal does.. but is it possible that I will still receive my funds? Does anyone know how disputes work with eBay's managed payments? Thanks!

I had a bank dispute with managed payments and it worked great. I also don't need my funds right away so can careless paypal or not, but they went in my favor.

They will hold it from a future payout. If you have to refund a customer they'll first try to deduct the amount from a payout, or charge your card/bank account if your future payout isn't big enough to cover the refund.
They're straightforward about how it all works if you read the fine print.
