| | | | | muzzie | 07-19-2021 11:14 AM | Ebay policy violation??? Ok so MP gives new questions:
1) Account is more than a year old
2) Sold and purchased few cheap items (via EB + PP)
3) Sold one expensive item, no problems (via EB + PP), customer happy
4) Migrated 2 weeks ago to MP successfully and was sleeping till today
5) Has around 25 positive feedbacks
6) Listed similar expensive "main" item today
7) After few hours got this: Quote:
Email title : Your listing was removed: Counterfeit item policy
Hello XXXXXXX,
We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Counterfeit item policy. We don’t allow counterfeit items, replicas, or unauthorised copies.
What activity didn't follow the policy - Listing item in a Private Auction- Limited selling history
What you need to do next
Items removed for this policy cannot be relisted. Please ensure that your future listings are for authentic items only. For these items, they should be described accurately and completely, so buyers know that it is an authentic item.
What is the policy
- Counterfeit products are illegal and not allowed on eBay. Examples include:
-- ⊗⊗⊗⊗, copies or replicas of brand name items (for example, a shoe with the Nike name or logo that wasn’t made by Nike)
-- Electronics or accessories that use or bear the brand name, logo or trademark of a company that didn’t manufacture the item
-- Bootleg recordings from concerts or other live shows
-- Unauthorised or pirated copies of movies, videos or software
- Listings with photos that hide or blur trademarks are not allowed
- If you’re not certain that your item is authentic, or if an authenticator has been unable to confirm its authenticity, it may not be listed
- We may remove listings if we receive buyer complaints that the item is not authentic. These items may not be relisted
How this affects your account
Because you may not have been aware of this policy, we're sending this notice to educate you about it and ask that you follow this policy in the future.
- Listings that didn't follow this policy have been ended.
- We have credited all associated fees except for payments processing fees and the final value fee for your listing(s).
Listings that don't follow this policy in the future will be ended.
| What is wrong and why suddenly they decided that my item is foo foo? As they were perfectly fine with a similar sale few months ago. And why do they say that the item is counterfeit but in their email they state that they actually didn't like private auction and limited selling history? Seems totally different reasons... what is going on?
Nothing has changed in the account during the year except the MP migration. |

Yes, higher than 100 usd | in my opinion it is branded item being sold from a high risk country by a new seller in a private listing
so I would say you need to build up selling history first and stop making any listings as private auction |

I don't think the entire selling history is put to 0 by MP but most likely the risk management was tightened |

And my friends having extremely poor accs survive! Like young acc opened with crappy stealth docs, with mismatch bank, bad selling history, 3g ip, negs... and they live! But what is common - they never used private auctions, registered on .com site, and use Lithuania as registered address. |
