Hi, been selling on Ebay account more than 10 years, feedback 1000+, power seller. did not enroll into managed payments, maxed out quantities before deadline, now receiving payments to Paypal until now no problems so far.
Lately when receiving payments I started to receive message: PAYMENT FROM THIS SALE IS EBAY HOLD. Money will be held for 21 days and automatically will move to my balance then. Paypal showing almost all sales on hold. This never happened, no open cases. Anyone has any experience on this why this is happening?

US Ebay, I think I cannot contact Ebay because first thing they will say is to register for MP which I dont want yet. So just checking here if anyone has similar situation. I dont have problem with temporarily holding funds, just worried that they might not release them later.

Just out of the blue nonsense.
It'll usually go away and back to normal eventually. So don't fret it.

I discovered this morning that Paypal has starting holding my payments from eBay as well on an account with about a 3yr selling history. Perhaps Paypal assumes only shady people haven't switched to MP at this point. :/

No, it's Paypal holding the payments. It's a standard Paypal payment hold as seen on new accounts or accounts Paypal deems risky.

they specifically wrote that ebay let them know that the funds needed to be held.

It's in the new PayPal agreement contract. They have stopped the "funds now" and say are going to change it (don't know if for the better). More info from PayPal official soon ...
