Which eBay countries don't use Managed Payments yet?
 

Like, is it possible to sign-up for eBay in a country/region that still uses paypal? Please let me know.

Someone mentioned Russia. No idea if thats right or not.
Cant imagine running an account from any other country though as that will present its own set of issues.
And of course there the simple fact that MP will apply to all countries sooner rather than later anyway so may as well face reality and deal with it.

yes , Russia is a good solution if the ebay account is established. Payoneer access was blocked there so Russia can be used with paypal if country of an established ebay account is changed. I know a couple of people who recommended me to switch to russian registration

I had some older ebay accounts I could not use anymore so decided to change the country to Russia and test it. it has been working fine , no signs of managed payments , no invitations or deadlines

there is a good chance Russia will continue working into 2022 , maybe longer

I am only concerned that the shipping country is different. I don't know if ebay will start looking for russian sellers who continue using paypal but state a different country they ship their items from

that could be but in russia payoneer was banned by the state , access to the site was blocked from all russian ip's so that russian ebay accounts are likely to continue working with paypal for a long time. this is a very good opportunity to continue using paypal on russia registered ebay accounts , I see there are some sellers who have already been using it shipping items from USA

That is very interesting. Do you sell to the UK? If so, did you add shipping from UK or USA?

I suppose this won't work on newly formed Russian ebay/PayPal registered stealth accounts, only existing established accounts?

I personally use russian ebay accounts only on ebay.com with items I ship from USA. I think it is the safest bet because almost all russian sellers are on ebay.com and this does not attract attention

I think russian accounts are a fantastic way to avoid MP for many months to come but this should work with existing accounts only. and of course such accounts can be run as old school stealth without any checks by ebay as long as there are security measures in place like avoiding sudden volume spikes , resolving disputes etc.

But then the question becomes - use Russian VPN? Or US IP. I recall from a previous thread that you use US IP and it suffices, but it seems so odd to me that ebay would allow that to pass.

I just found several gold bullion sellers on Ebay USA who takes cash and carry.

no , I wrote I used russian IP which I pay around $1.35 per month for , those are abundant and cheaper than western ones. I used russian IP's on 5 shops and USA IP on 2 shops.

This is GOD TIER! wondering if it would be safe to use my own paypal that was once attached to an active ebay account that is in use now on a new russian account or can i change safely change an existing ebay acount to a russian one.

my accounts that I used for russia are about 1-3 years old

it is better to use paypal that is already attached. there is really no difference betweent russian accounts today and old-style usa accounts with paypal. there is only the problem that this does not work with brandnew accounts as they have issue to accept paypal and MP is not available in Russia

Man thank you! so to be clear best thing to do is move an existing US account to a russian ip address. Anything i should be worried about especially concerning moving one with active orders

I think it is safe to move an active account. Problems may arise with new accounts or accounts that are already blocked from listing items because of MP.

with new accounts it is possible that they will not be working. if account is working but can't list anything because of MP then I would ask ebay to unblock as obviously either paypal or MP should be available

So I have 1 Israeli eBay account which is running for many years and stopped selling since MP. How should I change it to russian account? Just by changing the address in personal information? And how should I change the IP? As of now this eBay account is running on Israeli Virtual Private Server (VPS).

with such an account it makes sense to switch to MP with your real details. using Russia is more for people who have spare accounts like myself because I registered a lot in my real name already and had 7 that were left unused so I switched over to Russia with all 7 back in March and April and it is running surprisingly well , I have a turnover of $3000-$10000 per month on each and everything has been running to paypal smoothly.

I use ebay.com though and my shipping location is USA. I don't know if this would work on local ebay sites as well as nearly all russian sellers are on ebay.com

I agree.
What exactly would they ask for if you were to convert it to MP on an Israeli account? more than likely would be easier to provide them with that then to switch to a different country that will eventually also need to be converted to MP.

There is no need to bother with Russian accounts, a few days ago in Russia the tab with MP also became active, some users from Russia are already receiving notifications about updating their account, it is written before the end of the year everyone should switch to MP
It is unclear only one payoneer does not work in Russia, it is blocked, most likely in Russia you will have to work through a VPN
