I'm sure now they are asking for ID if you change any of the details name etc it will just cause an even bigger flag. The best thing to do is get creative with an ID and hope for the best in my opinion

I agree, judging by my research. Although I’m curious as to the “please provide detailed explanation for the name not matching”. Implies that there is some wiggle room for a sufficiently good reason...

I think you're screwed. They're going to want identity docs for the stealth identity you gave them which they will never be able to verify. Yank those listings ASAP until you know something definitive.

Marriage and divorce are legitimate reasons for a name change. There is no reason for a man to change his name unless he is a part of the federal protection program.
Your "wiggle room " will not apply to you. It's been stated for over a year now that only real details work when switching to MP. True then, true now.

Nowaday,ebay is tough to deal. Firstly , eBay will verify your ID, and ask bank statement sooner or later then.

So question - do the bank verification requests only come if they have trouble verifying your ID? Or are they required regardless after the sales threshold is reached

There are people on here saying they haven't had any requests. Even year later.
