Default Changing my business model

Hi everyone,

The time has come and I’ve finally realised I need to change my business model. This is a post to make people aware that selling vero items is not a fully sustainable business most people will know this but their will be other people believing they could do this and with managed payments and how difficult it is to create accounts nowadays it just doesn’t make sense selling these kind of products worrying if your item will be removed and losing your account.

I actually cancelled a $3000 order and told my supplier I don’t want the items. I’ve realised that using ZikAnalytics and doing product research, competitor research theirs multiple gaps in the market to sell other profitable products without worrying about listings removed/losing your eBay account.

I always thought customers will only want to buy Apple products, Samsung products, Nike products etc but it’s far from the truth. China have done everything for us designing trainers, shoes, slippers without infringing any copyright whatsoever not just trainers but every product you can almost think of. I’ve realised that customers will be happy to pay for a product which is a lot cheaper and another alternative to an expensive branded product and the best thing which I’ve realised is these sellers are making £50,000, £100,000, £200,000 every single month on eBay or we have to do is copy these sellers and duplicate their success. For a price of £20 a month for ZikAnalytics it’s definitely worth it.

Please do not continue on selling vero/counterfeit items you will lose your eBay account and is it worth losing an account with high selling limits to then start over again which is a lot harder these days the answer for me is definitely not worth it.

I’m actually lucky that I still have an eBay account in good standing and to think I could of potentially killed this account would of been devastating as it’s unlimited and accounts like that are very rare to get hold.

I would like to say good luck and I wish everyone success on eBay their is definitely a way to make it work.

VeRO ≠ Counterfeit

Just call it what it is FFS. Good luck with your new ventures. It's very hard to sell generic/private label alternatives to Apple and Samsung accessories profitably.

Thank you I appreciate it and it’s really not that hard at all. Research goes along way. For example one product I’m looking at 40 of it sold today make about £1, £2 profit, another one 40 sold another one 30 sold list goes on and on. I’m actually surprised that customers will buy cheaper alternatives I think we’re all in a world of thinking customers will only buy the best probably because we have iPhone, Apple laptop Nike trainers etc but it’s so far from the truth. I’m excited can’t wait to go.

Not sure why you're surprised... that's all amazon IS, is cheap junk from China.

And FYI, research versus actually getting sales are 2 different things. If you're thinking of entering the very saturated market of aftermarket items on ebay... good luck! It's not just a simple list and get sales event.

I think the reason why I’m surprised is because I’ve never gone down the cheaper alternative route. I’m surprised how many people will buy trainers with just air on them £15 and not Nike £60. I’ve been quite dilusional and not open minded that buyers will buy cheaper alternatives and as for a business model it’s definitely a lot safer and I won’t have to keep looking over my shoulder or worrying about losing my account.

I understand what your saying it’s going to take investment for sure but I’m confident I can make this work especially if other sellers are doing it if they can do it why can’t I?
