A buyer can escalate a case after 8 days, if you've failed to respond beforehand then you'll almost certainly lose the case.

Funds will not be released unless the matter has been resolved in your favour, but definitely not whilst in dispute.

What's the buyer creating the case about OP?

Item not received but tracking shows item has been delivered

Upload tracking to the case.

Say something polite to the buyer like "We're sorry for any inconvenience. Since the tracking number for your order is confirming delivery in the correct location and we are in compliance with eBay's seller protection program, we kindly ask that you escalate your case for review by eBay whenever you are given the opportunity to do so."

You'll win every time.

Funds will be held until the case is resolved.

That’s a easy case to win just upload tracking showing it’s delivered.. but after you win that case. He may open a dispute with PayPal or his cc company. So just be prepared for that

You are in UK.
Did you receive an Ebay email informing a case has been open and you have x days to respond ?

Definitely respond back asap with tracking but be nice about it.

From time to time I even escalate the claim myself just to close it out if the update on tracking shows delivered

I know you're spam-posting merely to get to 25 posts but there's no need to blindly post wrong answers whilst doing it.
