How Exacly $600 limit works

So If you sell 599 will ebay send you pay out? It looks like they are asking ssn when you reach $600. Or if you made 800 maybe they send you 600 and then ask for it?

I’m not sure if they go by the sale amount or the payout amount. But I sold something for $500 got paid and sold another $600 item and then they put hold on my funds and requested full ssn

I think the trigger is close to 600 or maybe 600 then limit comes. I had similar experience. Any one else can verify this info?

I got my my 600 request a little after passing 600. Maybe @ 700 or so

So Is it sale amount or the payout amount? lets say I have 1k of sales so I get 50 everyday till 600?

got the notice @ 700 in payments despite most of it being held due to standard 2 week hold.

sorry, don't quote me on that. all I meant is that eBay tends to hold your cash for some period of time on a fresh account until they can confirm successful delivery.

not sure if its 2 weeks exactly, just ball parking it

my point was moreso that its the sales that matter, not the payout, as I've gotten the request on 600+ in sales but virtually no payout yet.

Today limit came to me at 666 in sales. Its confirmed 600 and that's it. Gross sales. I wonder what will happen under 600? will you get your money?

My understanding is that when your sales his $600 you get the request

Anything under and you are fine - anything over you need your SSN, EIN or ITIIN

It's definitely gross sales. What ever number they see you pump on their platform basically

It's the broadest possible amount (item price + any S&H fees you charged + any taxes collected) with no deductions for eBay fees, your COGS/S&H costs, discounts/promotions, etc.

If >$600, you're asked for your full tax ID within a few business days.
