Also, expect persistent dumb questions from buyers that never read your ad. I average 30-50 questions a day just on about 5-10 items. | What a timesink over the dumb questions  good to vet them out |

| BlackLion | 02-06-2022 12:54 PM | Re: Is Facebook marketplace the next big thing? I never looked into Facebook marketplace, because I do not trust people. I don't care what anyone says. I don't care if it's the richest area, or poorest I will only "ship" to you. Now if someone can tell me how well they're doing when it comes to using shipping services I'd definitely look into it. |
| samspalace | 02-06-2022 04:21 PM | Re: Is Facebook marketplace the next big thing? I get messages everyday but I don’t mind as if I wasn’t getting messages a day then I would be worried as if your not getting messages theirs no interest in your items. I don’t ship out internationally but occasionally will post the item by a delivery method but most of it is delivering the item myself.
At the moment for me it’s perfect it’s working and making money it’s so much more different to eBay and theirs no selling limits either payment can’t be held or anything like that. |

End of story unless you have a problem, just like any sale. |

I think when you start selling you need to create a stripe account and link it but you don’t have to use it. You get paid when someone collects the item or you deliver it. I accept cash and bank transfers upon collection or delivery and sometimes PayPal but mainly cash and bank transfers. |

I noticed a lot since I started delivering the items myself I don’t get no refunds either no cases opened or whatever I use to get on eBay as long as product is on point customers appreciate you going to them and you just move on to the next one.
With the questions their pretty much all the same so my reply is pretty much the same lol |

We simply stopped answering questions. | I dont even want to fathom those messages. haha I sell a VERY hot generic item that gets 70k clicks every 14 days. The question is always "is this so-and-so brand?" They NEVER look in detail at the pictures or read the description. |

With the questions their pretty much all the same so my reply is pretty much the same lol | Most of us in the USA dont want to mess with a local market. We ship, same as ebay and amazon. In the USA the payment processor is paypal..... Buyer pays facebook, facebook a week or three later sends payment to our paypal account. This is called "Shops" on marketplace. That is what I am talking about. There is no way in hell I am going to try to meet people face to face by the hundreds a week. I closed my retail stores a decade ago for the same reason. Need a nationwide market, not meeting a few thousand locals ONE time. |
