EBay registration now REQUIRES credit card verification?
 

I attempted to create a new account about 8 times, but each time, it now asks for a credit card verification, not an E-mail verification. Is this a new wrinkle devised by EBay over the course of the past 12 hours?

I implore others to test this, just in case some of my settings are screwed up. Thanks!

I think there linking you this is why it ask to cc verfiy. I know if the past if i tried to make 1 account then make another with out delete cookies and flashcookies and changeing ip it will ask to cc verfiy as well.

You are automatically linking your accounts from the word GO.

And for the record, I am an expert at creating new accounts, but I tend to keep my abilities close to the vest =).

I just made a new one and it worked fine :)
