I’m not trying to scare people I’m just being honest. I started to get so many suspensions around Oct-Nov 2021 that I had to join this forum in December to see what in the world was I doing wrong.

I think anyone can agree that the security from last year and this year has been enhanced.

Regardless of fraud prevention, eB does not want IRS colonoscopy. Much easier to hand over whats required by the new law.

Please remind me which IP Burger plan you recommended? Was it dedicated, residential or moible proxy?

The stealth guide seems very out of date would love it if this could be updated.

IF I recall correctly no where in the stealth guide does it say I can't start off with a private seller account.

FOr account creation, go for the residential service the 5gb should be enough unless you make a ton of accounts.

once the accounts are made and they are stable, you can change to their fresh and dedicated IP plan to save money... again unless you have a ton of accounts.

I just use 1 residential IP plan from them for all my accounts, it's just much more convenient.

Hi all I managed to get an agent that is considering my request to reactivate my account they asked me this

"Perfect, thank you. Can you tell me a bit about the kind of items you plan on selling? Are you shipping them out personally or do you have help to handle the load? ~Kim"

Shall I say

"I am selling items around the house that I don't need anymore I will ship them out myself"

Is that a good answer?

I used brave browser to create the account maybe that was my mistake as brave is too restrictive for Ebay? It was the only browser that passed all the IP tests easily.

Good news guys I kicked up a huge stink and they restored my account

Now I'm too scared to use the account in case they limit me again lol

For all the talk about looking "normal", "real", "average"; using a browser whose market share is 0.05% looks neither "normal", "real" nor "average".

If I were coding an algorithm, any browser outside the top 5 would be cause for a closer look.

Ok fair point I did try the other browers first but they didn't pass the https://iphey.com/ / whoer.net tests as reliably. I kept getting weird errors saying my language or time was wrong when it wasn't. Or it would pass the checks for 5 seconds and then turn to failed after.

Brave gave me the best result.

Thanks mate. Now I'm considering skipping all that "warm up account with low risk items" stuff as some users claim it's a myth, makes things look weird to ebay and it's better to go straight for the "riskier" items I want to sell. I may list just 1 item with a quantity of 1 and see what happens.

What do you think?

Re: The correct answers for "Reactivate your eBay account"

You're selling questionable software, right?

Sell cheap, kinda techy, kinda related stuff.

I start off my accounts with used blu-rays, sprinkle in some low value used tech (RAM, external hard drives), might even throw in a cheap used laptop or two and then start selling my real product while still listing used blu-rays for a month or two before switching over to my real product.

Selling cheap tech gives you completed sales and hopefully positive feedback in the tech category before you launch into your software sales.

Do your listing - laptop easier I'd say.

If you haven't followed stealth method, yes you can be linked - use unlinked user account

I suggest you take things back to basics and use the services that was recommended to you by reputable members in here.
