Ebay Linked my multiple accounts yesterday
 

Be carful guys when listing ps5 systems for sale.

I have 20 ebay accounts that's been working good for 4 years now, till yesterday. When I listed some eight ps5 systems for sale on 1 account, they restricted and linked all my 20 accounts from selling. They asking for photos of my ps5 inventory with my id in front of the items. Plus a bill statement with my address. I sent them what they wanted today on all 20 accounts. I hope they lift the restrictions, im still waiting to see what they do. They froze and put 8500$ on hold also. Be carful guys when selling these systems.

Are these accounts on the same computer? Do they share some of the same information??

Yes same computer. I used different user accounts. 5 accounts in my real name. Other 15 accounts are in different names. All accounts can not sell or withdraw funds as of now. Only can buy items.

Did they all get mc011?? Do they share banks, Addresses, phone numbers or IPs? This is interesting that they linked all 20 together.

Wonder if all the smash and grabs, organized retail theft, is putting pressure on eB to police their site better. Security sure has ramped up.

All had different banks. phones, and IPs and addresses.

So you were able to activate mp on the 15 with xxx details or is it real details?

Not really greedy if the source of items are legit - good luck OP on getting issues solved on the otherhand

but why 20 accounts selling the same item?thats why some folks dont like to shop on Ebay,it is so cluttered with sellers selling same item but varies in price by a penny?

He probably have lots of inventory and doesn’t want to scale his sales too much on 1 account. That’s a great idea. So Incase one of your accounts get hit with a restriction/suspension the others don’t go down and you can continue to sell.

But in those 4 years eBay has managed to link all 20 of his accounts together which is crazy

each windows computer can be uniquely identified. it is not clear if ebay do it but amazon do for sure

Exactly, we know for fact amazon can and more likely ebay aswell its not hard, but shockingly many experienced users still prefer user accounts rather then vm

He said that 5 were using his identity so I would expect those to be linked, but the other 15 were different identities and still linked.

Yes i was selling similar items on the 20 accounts. That's probably what linked them
Im still waiting too see what ebays does on the documents i sent them.

I would not be surprised if they have an anti fraud system becoming active on expensive items. eventually it is easy to identify all accounts located on the same computer regardless of IP's , browsers etc.

Just because somebody says they did everything perfectly, does not mean they did

It would be impossible to link 20 different accounts together unless there was some underlying connection

It could be something that OP never thought of, like picture metadata

Yes I did use some of the same pictures on the accounts. I never thought they could track you by the pictures. And the wording a little different.

Picture metadata shares same camera info and same GPS location that picture was taken

may be he does not have any inventory ?good seller does not get suspended easily.
